I've trying to get a whole lot of note cards made for my Etsy. I've been doing it while watching Alias which I've finished all 5 seasons now. So I've just been working on my worktable in my room...in silence for some reason. Oh and my profile isn't compete yet in that Etsy link.
I've decided to make a some basic flat note cards. It's more about the pretty paper envelopes I think.
The flat note cards are quite basic themselves but I'm having fun picking paper for the envelopes. These are all mini note cards. I prefer making them.
I have to come up with names as well. I love this card stock. But I bought it in the Philippines so when it's gone I won't have this particular style anymore.
I really love this paper. It's butterflies and all prettiness. Oh another note, I've been working in the cosmetics section of Myer quite often. I like it as there are more people to talk to plus I get to look at the makeup, body products and the shoes which are really close by. And my sister in law works for Shisheido cosmetics in Myer so I get to see her when I work. The thing is it's hard not too buy things as all the ladies are like " Buy that it looks so good" or " How cute you have to get it." I don't know about any of you but it's nice to get compliments and confirmation to buy something =)
These are my teeny tiny note cards. They are 2" by 2.75". They are basic but good for tiny 'just because' notes.
Here are more but these envelopes are lightly scented. I bought them like that. It's from the Philippines though so again when they're gone they're gone.
I decorated this little Moleskin for fun and was going to put some in my Etsy when I realised I made the front cover on the back. So the little pocket is in the front cover and upside down. Eeep! Oh well guess it will be another little note book for me.
It's quite exciting to start selling my note cards, though I still have soo much to do and finish. So I doubt I will be able to open it until at least mid April I'm guessing. Anyway, thanks for everything!!

News Cards
For the last few days I have been seriously thinking of finally having my own Etsy shop. So I have been reading about it and figuring out what I'm planning on doing.
I'm in the process of making a whole heap of note cards and envelopes, trying to plan business cards and packaging and figure out postage costs. It's been fun! Plus Jason is going to help me with an Etsy banner which will match my blog banner. This blog is going to undergo some changes as well. Can't wait!
Here is one of my new card designs I came up with today. It's just a little peak =)
Here are the new note cards. I've only made two and haven't made any envelopes yet but I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I had this idea in my head. And sometimes they don't work but this time it did!
Here is a close up. used some patterned vellum paper and made a tiny envelope. The envelope is filled with tiny butterflies. You can't take them out but I like that you can see through the envelope to see them.
This is a close up of the other card. I thought I would make one facing the front but added the tiny button to make it look like a stamp. I guess you could say this note card has some of my favourite things, letters and mail, tiny buttons, pretty paper, and a note card to send to someone just because =)
These are the other tiny note cards I made with their envelopes. I make them while watching Alias lol.
I hope I am able to have my Etsy open around the first week of April but I still have soo many things to do. Plus I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about it as I don't know if my little note cards will stand out from the mass of talent on Etsy. I guess it's a feeling lots of people have when they first sell their work. Did anyone feel that way? Any tips on starting an Etsy or online business?
Anyway, I will have more information about it soon. Thanks everyone!
P.S. 2 months and 16 days until Prince Caspian Wheee! Though there are a few more books and movies I'm also looking forward too.

New Room with some cricket thrown in
I've moved rooms. When my brother moved out I always knew I would get his room eventually. So just a few weeks ago I painted two of the walls (my first paint job) and moved my furniture into the room. I love it! It will be more personalised as time goes on.
Here's a part of the room. Excuse the terrible lighting of these photos. It wasn't the best of days to take one so I didn't put my blinds down.
My new desk with a few bits that I'm loving. Gosh I love Ikea The desk is from there. More of a workbench really.
Jason bought me that little bookshelf cube. It's meant for a child's room oh well =)
The top part of my cube. They're all presents except for the little hand blown glass perfume bottle I bought from the markets.
A better close up of the items in my cube. I thought I would items that I love and mean something to me.
I love this glass bottle I got from Ikea. I love butterflies so having a glass bottle of pretty butterflies was a must. And those ballet pointes are from my lovely friend Laura.
Another one of my beautiful butterflies. I buy them from this pretty store called The Very Thing. The clear plastic Bauble I get around the Christmas season. I love them.
This is where I got the idea of having a butterfly in a bauble from the december 2007 issue of Blueprint magazine. It's a shame the magazine is gone now. That link is for the blog =)
On my desk. Sorry terrible lighting again. I like my desk blotter that Jason got me. So I can keep my desk pen mark free. I'm a bit of a Sudoku fan. I like to do it to exercise my brain. Especially because I'm not at uni anymore.
Another angle of the desk. There's a little storage shelf that holds it up. On the other side I have some drawers. Another reason why I love Ikea is the mix and match option with their furniture.
This image if from Lula Magazine. I adore the pictures from the website and I'm trying to find the magazine here. Not much luck yet. Anyway, I wanted to say that I have this same shelf. I haven't put it up yet in my room but I will. In the last photo of my desk you can see it peeking out from under the table. I hope to have mine look like this one. Oh and it's from where else but Ikea. It's from the children's section as well.
Last part. Yesterday Jason, me and his mum went to the cricket. It was the One Day International, Australia vs. India for the 2nd final. I've never really been into cricket but Jason has slowly been getting me interested. I have to say it was an exciting game. Lots of entertainment. Too bad we lost =( It was soo close as well. I might just watch some future games.
Jason and me at the Gabba. My hair is all over the place because I tried to tie it up and my hair tie broke plus I was wearing a hat in the afternoon. And we're wearing yellow to support Australia. Our colours are green and gold.
