In need of comfort

Hey my lovelies! Thanks for all your wonderful comments. Well I had a little breakdown at work yesterday. Weekends mean nothing in the retail world. I'm usually at work. I was all set on giving my unavailability to my manager and she wasn't there. I had worked myself into a frenzy.

Anyway, to cut it short. Someone else I work with got all cut at me (for who knows what...I seem to be the go to girl when someone needs to be upset about something). And I just lost it. I started crying at work and had to go to the bathroom. On my way back the new manager in training (aka...has no influence yet) in our area asked if I was ok because I didn't look too good and I started crying again (yes the water works were going strong). He took me to the kids shoe reserve to calm me down and to ask what was wrong. I was so far gone I couldn't even get the words out. Well, he pretty told me it's ok and we all have bad days etc. He then bought me a coffee which was really nice of him (but it was so awkward and embarrassing).

So again I have been over emotional and absolutely dread going back to work on Thursday for a fabulous 9am-9pm shift. I'm so sorry I'm on such a downer lately but I will bounce back because I always do. I'm not a pessimistic person and I know there are people out there with more serious problems than me. I'm just going to relax and give it all to God.

Again here are some pretty images to end with and to dream about. I'm going to pretend I'm living in a fairy tale world.

I'm going to dream, to write, to relax, to pray and to not let people get to me so easily. Thanks for all your support =)

  1. Hey lady! I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling so down! F* those stupid people that make you feel bad! Take a deep breath, splash some water on your face and smile at yourself in the mirror.
    Things will get better!
Sending you lots of happy thoughts!

  4. There is no need to apologize- for being a downer (which you have totally not been by the way), for crying at work, for being overwhelemed... sometimes our hearts just have a way of telling us when we've had enough and all you can do is let it out. And of course, we all love you and want you to be happy... so if nothing else, spill your little heart out to us and share your hurts and aches... because we'll just love you anyway. I am praying your heart heals a bit and you feel so much better soon. Being blue is just no fun. And I love the pictures you chose to cheer up- they're beautiful- just like you :)

  6. Awww sweetheart! Everyone has their days. I was extremely sad last Thursday at work and I kept having small episodes where tears would pool in my eyes just when someone was walking by! You're never alone :) And you know, it's true. Sometimes it's okay to cry. It feels good to let all the stress and frustration out! Hey, at least we're girls - boys shouldn't be crying... in public anyways :) To a better week!

I'm following you now so I'm expecting to hear that you're feeling MUCH better!

    xo

  7. I had a boss swear his head off at me one day because I was being too pro active - go figure. Mind you I was working in England and not my home country at the time. Often it's not your fault - they've just had a bad day and take it out on you - don't stress :).

  8. aw well at least the manager in training was nice to you. i hate work problems..especially when its a job that has no real influence on your future. its so hard to put your heart and soul into something that bums you out. but you have a wonderful attitude about it and you're right, just give it all to God. He'll work it all out for you girl. and in the meantime think about your wonderful wedding you have coming! im sending up a little prayer for you that his week goes a little better, workwise for you. :) xoxoo

  9. Amazing fairytale pictures...and please, escape all you want. Your co worker is such a bitch ( sorry for the word ) making you cry like that. You're such a nice person but that doesn't mean people can lash out to you like that though, I'm sorry Gracie *hugs*

  11. Hey Gracie,
This hymn has stuck in my mind from our Harvest Festival service yesterday and thought words may be of strength to you today:

    "Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for to-day and bright hope for to-morrow:
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!"

Keep smiling the best you can :)xx

  21. Gracie, thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. :) You are always so sweet! But oh no! I hope that reading my posts about (500) Days won't spoil the movie for you! A lot of people who read the reviews found online, etc. felt that it spoiled the movie experience and caused them to over-expect, thus making them enjoy the movie less. :(

  22. Awww, I'm sorry you had a bad day/few past days/stress. =[ It happens to all of us.

In other news, you read really fast. Which is better, The Underland Chronicles or Hunger Games?
