A book challenge and giveaway - Closed!

Via Tumblr

I had a thought and was inspired by this book challenge. I usually try to read about 100 books a year and I list when I start and finish them. It's something I've done for the past 2-3 years. I like to keep track of what I've read.

Well for this challenge I would love for my bloggy friends to list your favourite books or ones you would recommend in the comment section. And I will make a list up and post it here and they are the books I will read this year (and others that I want to of course). I'm just curious to know what books you like.

Plus I thought why not turn it into a giveaway too. And I'm due for one to celebrate having over 100 followers :) I thought I would giveaway....

One of my favourite books. Though the cover will be different because we have a different one here in Australia. (And if you're the winner and already have this book I will send you something different)

and
A plain page Moleskine notebook to keep track of your books. (If you want to of course) Or if you prefer lined let me know.

And there will be an assortment of pens because I like them for writing letters and journal writing. I just haven't decided what pens will be part of the giveaway.

So to participate this is what you do.....
1. For you're first entry - List your favourite books or books you recommend
2. For second entry - In a separate comment let me know if you're a follower :)
3. For a third entry - Blog, twitter etc about this and let me know in the comment section.

This will be open until Tuesday the 23rd of March. I really do hope you will join in and list some books. Now Closed!

P.S. It's good to see I'm not the only dreamer :)

  7. KARTOGRAPHY-by Kamila Shamsie. Everytime someone in the blogging world asks me this question, I repeat the same name over and over again because it seems like not a lot of people around the world have read it. It's written by a Pakistani author and it's the most amazing book, featuring the conditions of the country as a backdrop. Give it a read if you can get your hands on it! =)

  10. Well my favorite book would have to be The Great Gatsby, but a more current one would be, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." I read it when I was in high school, but I'd read it again today. :)

I think it's a great idea to keep track of what you read. Which is why I need to win this giveaway. lol jk X)
I think I'll do it anyway. :) It's been so long since I've read a whole book. I read about a 100 books in 1001 days challenge, so I'll try something along those lines. :)

ps. I am also a bit weird with pens. I carry at least 4 different ones in my bag every day. X)

  21. So I am one of those weird girls who only read non-fiction. (except for stuff like Twilight saga that I HAD to read lol). Anyway, I don't know if my non-fiction reading came from college where everything I read I felt like I had to 'learn' something or the fact that I have a 3 yr old and can't remember intricate plot twists if I put down a book and don't pick it up for a week lol!

Anyway, so my 2 books I'm recommending are non-fiction and on the subject of food (my favorite thing ever) and, okay, they are about eating crazy healthy... but written in such an awesome, fun tone that you will love reading them I PROMISE!

The Kind Diet - Alicia Silverstone (yes, clueless actress. best book ever!)

Skinny Bitch - Rory Freedman (I'm sure you have heard of it. this book is LOL for real funny).

  41. Wow! 100 books in ONE year. Impressive. I love it! Is it terrible of me that I'm not much of a reader... The last books I've read were the Twilight series.. Twice.. ha ha.. and both times in four days... However one of my favorite books, not really a novel... but definitely a great love story.. is the Griffin and Sabine Trilogy by Nick Bantock. The illustrations in the series is marvelous.. and romantic. Check it out if you get a chance. :)

Hope you had a great St. Patty's Day!

    xx Love & Aloha

p.s. I really should read more! Thanks for inspiring me to do so.
