Lately, I've been trying to write in my journal more often. I've just felt the need to document my thoughts and even the mundane happenings in my life. I guess I feel that if I had to save something I would save my journals, letters and photos.
This is my current journal. It's getting pretty fat because I always glue in little bits like clothing tags, movie tickets, stickers, little notes, all sorts of ephemera I collect.
I have about a third left and I hope to finish it soon.
I took this photo of my pretty journals and notebooks that are ready to be used and filled with all sorts memories.
Do any of you like to keep memories? Write in a journal? Keep all your letters and little notes? I have boxes of these. Maybe I will take a photo of them sometime.
Anyway, I have a giveaway going on over at Sandy a la Mode. Go and check it out to win a headband, a pair of earrings and some mini note cards of your choice!!
I'm very fond of writing, so, yes, I tend to capture memories on fine paper - and I think it's delightful that you do, too.
ReplyDeletei love that you stick things in your journals :)
ReplyDeletelast week i started writing in one with sort of my opinions on things... whether its politics, family, people, the world... just little views i have.. i think it will be interesting to look back in a few years and be able to remember how i felt on different topics and see if my opinion changes over time!
i envy people who have journals perhaps because i dont know how to write... :(
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post!!! I also love to write down in a journal and stick movie theater stubs, tickets, and other papers ;) I love looking back at my journal from when I was 16yrs old and from when I was 12yrs old - that one makes me laugh ;) I love that we have this in common - these past year or two i haven't done it everyday but Im starting to again ;) Lots of love xoxoxo ;)

ReplyDeleteI have my 5 year diary that I LOVE. And I got a ticket stub diary for christmas which is proving to be fun!
ReplyDeleteI have a general notebook and lots of calendars that I write all sorts on but not an actual journal.
ReplyDeleteI do have loads of keepsake boxes though where I keep letters, tickets etc and memories that I couldn't bare to part with.

Hi!, ive been thinking of keeping a journal again, i always kept them when I was younger and my big regret is not keeping hold of them. I am a huge note pad, cards, stationary fan! Do you think thats some kind of medical disorder? lol LOve your blog :)
ReplyDeleteI love journals but I can never stick to writing in them, I really wish I could though as they will be great to look back on one day.
ReplyDeletei have a million journals that i use for different things :)
ReplyDeleteI used to write in journals. Twice a day. Maybe more. I couldn't write enough... but then some terrible things happened and I not only stopped writing but I burned all of the journals I had. I am so sad about it to this day... I would love to go back and remember all those thoughts that were mine at one time.
ReplyDeleteI love writing in journals. I have a whole stack of them!
ReplyDeletelove,
K
