Good Friday and other things

It's Good Friday today. I'm spending the day doing different things. I have many things to catch up on.

First, some sad news. David my sister in laws daddy passed away yesterday. It is a really sad time for the family as he has been battling cancer but it has finally taken him away. So I just want to say that David was a wonderful loving husband, brother, grandpa and friend and we will all miss him soo much! We miss you David =( I would like to put a photo of him up later.

Oh and Jasons fish Bob died last night. It's really quite sad as I bought him that fish and I know he's only a fish but still he was a part of the family. I want to make a little cross for his grave as he will be buried today.

Anyway, I don't want to dwell on the sad things and Davids memory will always be with us.

I had the Easter musical last weekend. It was awesome! I really enjoyed dancing in it. It was great fun and many people were moved and touched by it. There were a few scenes which I really wanted to cry in as they were so powerful! Here are a few pics of us. This is a pic of Monique and me. This was for the Wedding scene at the beginning. Mon wasn't able to do it the first night as it was her 21st. So on friday night I went straight her 21st party. And this is us in our 60/70's gear for another dance. Not that you can really see that here.

And last night I had another 21st. But I haven't loaded my photos from that one yet. I do have a pic of the necklace I made her though. I love turquoise. It's a gorgeous colour. I made her this necklace and I really like it.

Also yesterday I watched 300! Jason was excited of course. It was great. It came out yesterday. I was able to read the graphic novel before so I knew what was going on. They did stay true to most of it which was great. King Leonidas is awesome. Gerard Butler is the actor. I also love David Wenham. He's an Aussie and I've liked him since he played Faramir in Lord of the Rings. This is David Wenham at the end. I heard and read that they are to train for two months before the movie to get all buff. So all of them are buff as in the movie.

fd's Flickr toys

I am pretty obsessed with flickr. I have an account there and I love browsing through peoples photos. It's very relaxing and I find a lot of really pretty things. Anyway in my browsing endeavours I noticed people were making a lot of mosaics with photos either of theirs or others. I found the website fd's Flicker Toys and it is so much fun. I mucked around with it and made two things in between writing a uni assignment. So here they are ->

This is the Andy Warhol style mosaic of one of my photos. It's pretty awesome. And this one is just a small mosaic of things I was taking photos of. Some pretty things I think. And I made that mask by the way =)

And I have musical rehearsal tonight. It should be a full run through which will be exciting. I will try and take some photos of it. Plus I can't wait until I have finished my debate and handed my assignment in. It will be great!

It's early and I am trying to finish off a debate due this week. Thought I would put a few pics and things up. A few random things.
This one is just something I made for Jasons bday. It's just a quick job so not that great. I like this one better I think. I put a bit more thought into it.

This week is going to be soo busy. But if I just take it slowly and do everything it will be fine. The musical is on this weekend. I'm really quite excited about it. I want to take some pics this week of rehearsal. I never got the chance before but I will definately do it this time.

Life

The Easter Musical is next weekend!! I can't believe how quick it has come. Next week is going to be hardcore. I have rehearsal pretty much monday to thursday night and the musical is friday to sunday night. I also have an assignment due and a debate in class. It will be busy but so worth it.

Here are a few pics from the last few days. This was taken on Jasons birthday a few days ago. This was before we went to the beach. At the beach. We haven't been able to go in ages! Love this photo. It turned out really well.

Busy

For the next two weeks I'm really quite busy, but I thought I should just update a bit. It's so close to the musical. We only have next week and then the week of the musical to practise and rehearse. I'm freaking out a bit cause we have had to change things constantly as we have started rehearsing with the actors. We are all so tired, stressed and emotional but we know we are doing this for a purpose. It's the Easter musical. We are doing this to show people Jesus great love he has for us. And if this can affect people its worth it.

Anyway, I thought I would add a few things.

This movie here 300 Jason really want to see. I'm pretty interested now as well =). I wanted to put the trailer here but for some reason it won't let me sigh. I'm getting Jason the graphic novel of 300 as part of his birthday and he already knows this so its not a surprise. The main actor in this is Gerard Butler. I know him from Phantom of the Opera. He plays the Phantom. Also David Wenham is in it as well. He's Aussie and plays Faramir in Lord of the Rings. I have a soft spot for him lol. So it comes out in a few weeks.
This photo was taken at my birthday. My friend Laura takes photos for fun but she has this awesome camera. And this is one of her favourite photos from that night. I'm wearing fairy just for the photos =p. Anyway, I should get back to the Spanish study for my exam on Monday. xox
