Quote Card Post cards

Hopefully everyone who participated in the Quote Card postcard swap has sent out their postcard with quote and received one back. If not just email me :)

So I had the lovely Erin as my swap partner (she had two because we had an uneven amount).

I sent her postcards along with a letter.

The postcards I sent her. The first two are from Belle and Boo Etsy and the bottom two are from The Littlest Fox Etsy.

A part of the quote I sent. I realised I didn't take a photo of it. Here's the quote...

" If you want your children to be smart, read them fairy tales; if you want them to be even smarter, read them more fairy tales."
~ Albert Einstein

My postcards (I love them) and some notes from Erin.

" A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water."
~ Eleanor Roosevelt.

" A person's a person no matter how small."
~ Dr Seuss

" How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."
~ Anne Frank

I really enjoyed this swap and thinking of doing this particular swap more often. Sending a post card with a quote. And yes, I will have details on the snail mail group soon.

I hope all that participated had fun :)

Project You

Hello my lovelies! Today is the day I will post about my experience with the Project You sunglasses. I have to pass them on (sigh thinking about getting my own now) and now I must do my other part of the project, photos and share happy things that happened with the glasses. Oh and check out Alyssa's blog for more information about Project You.

This was taken on the train from Sydney to Lithgow. It was a 3 hour trip so I thought why not wear the heart shaped sunglasses. I swear it's the glasses that made the sunlight come in like that.

I promised Alyssa I would try and get a photo with some of the cows. These are bulls actually and they scare me. This is as close as I would get to them. The glasses gave me a boost of courage to face my fear.

I made some friends with inanimate objects. This is my porcelain Mr Eagle. As you can see we are quite close now. Enough to get intimate photos like this.

I even gave him a kiss, though I'm screwing my face up because his beak was a little cold.

SO my happy list from wearing the sunglasses....

* I wasn't afraid to be silly
* Just looking at the heart shaped glasses made me happy
* I smiled a lot more while wearing them
* I had more courage to do things (photo with cows)
* I noticed the little things around
* People looked at you again while wearing the glasses wondering why you look so happy

And a quote to share (and for Project You)

" Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen Hard. Practice Wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is. "
~ Mary Anne Radmacher

I had a lot of fun with the project and it reminded me that it's ok to take silly photos and to sing out loud (while cleaning) and to dance to a song without caring. I hope everyone else who gets the sunglasses has a great experience too.

Have a fabulous rest of week!

It's done

(This is how I'm feeling!)

I have finally made a decision about my dress! Whee! It was hard because I started getting confused but in the end I went with the style I always wanted. I can't post it here in case Jason sees it but if anyone wants t see a picture of the dress just send me an email (gracienne.nancy@gmail.com).

Thought I would share more inspirational photos and some quotes. I would love to share more beauty.

" A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has  implanted in the human soul." - Johann Wolfgang von Geothe

"Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical." - Sophia Loren.

" A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears." - Anne Roiphe.

There are days when there is so much beauty and inspiration that I can't help but feel empowered by God. He has truly given me life and I know I am so blessed. And I just want to appreciate everything I have everyday of my life.

Have a wonderful rest of week!
