Post Christmas

Hello lovelies. I trust you had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was pretty amazing. These are just a few photos from the day. We went up to the Sunshine Coast to celebrate Christmas at my brother Alvin and sister in law Melly's place.

1. Opening gifts at our place. I was opening a surprise gift from Jason. I will write more about that another post
2. Table decorations. I was the one who decorated the table
3. More table decos. My little white tree I used to decorate my desk at work
4. More table decos and bonbons I made
5. Jason and me
6. Cousins. My nephews Caeleb and Isaiah with my other nephew Elijah
7. My dad with Elijah in his box. Caeleb is there too
8. My pretty mum with her gift from us
9. My sis in law Melly with her son Elijah
10. My brother Alvin with his son Elijah
11. Jase and Elijah
12. Me and Elijah

It was Elijah's first Christms which is why we had so many photos with him. My other brother Rolf and my sis in law Gem and Micah were off in Tasmania and weren't able to celebrate with us on the day. But we had another family Christmas a few days later.

This will most likely be my last post of the year. I hope you all have a very blessed New Year and I will see you all then!

Advent 7-12 and Christmas Greetings

Hello lovelies. I hope you are having a great Christmas break. I just want to share the rest of my advent calendar items I received.
L-R: Day 7 - Filofax refills and an iTunes gift card, Day 8 - A Kikki.K notebook and another Crunchie, Day 9 - Giant pegs magnets (and Jason said he got the raw wooden ones in case I wanted to paint it)
L-R: Day 10 - A T2 tea tin and iTunes gift card, Day 11 - Another Kikki.K notebook and tiny Christmas pegs, Day 12 - A T2 tea strainer thing and another iTunes gift card

I really had fun opening each gift and watching Jason open his gifts. This is a tradition that we will definitely be doing each year.

1. My Christmas tree. The view from the floor
2. A few of my gift wrapping this year. I had no particular theme
3. I wrapped a gift like a bon bon

I tend to wrap each item separately and tie it all together with some ribbon. I was also in charge of making the bon bons for the table and to decorate the table for Christmas. Anyway, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Take care and have the most beautiful day.

Christmas crafty and other bits

Hello hello my lovely people. It was my last day of work today and it feels heavenly. 11 days off work is exactly what I need. A few weeks ago I had a little craft session. It wasn't really Christmas but I have used them as part of my decorations at home.

I've also added a few other pictures from that day and other Christmas pictures.

1. My little fluro pink tree and little deer from Little Paper Lane. It's such a sweet shop.
2. The prep for my crafty day
3. Feathers and glitter
4. I painted the dots on the deer. It was a little kit I bought for fun
5. On my buffet at home.
6. Some feathers I dipped in glitter in one of my tiny milk bottles
7. One of the papier mache baubles I painted and covered in glitter
8. Another papier mache bauble
9. And another papier mache bauble I decorated (baubles from this post)
10. I had a tea break with some homemade shortbread (baked by a work friend)
11. A feather garland I made.
12. My small white tree. I have a green one too

I really wish I had more creative days. It helped relaxed me and I was able to watch a few of my favourite shows. This weekend is going to be spent wrapping gifts, making some gift tags and doing some cleaning. I also wouldn't mind doing more creating as well.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Advent Calendar

Hello lovelies. I'm finally doing a Christmas post! Jason and I started a tradition last year. We do an Advent Calendar. We alternate each day with opening a gift and get 12 gifts each. I'm showing what I received for the first six days I opened.

We displayed it as a pile of gifts with a numbered sticker so we can keep track on who opens each day.

L-R: Day 1 - A pretty bauble (you can see my reflection ha), Day 2 - 3 papier mache ornaments, Day 3 - Some T2 sleep tight loose tea (I drink this most nights, so it's nice and practical)
L-R: Day 4 - Kikki.K notebook and pen, Day 5 - Washi tape and bird fabric ribbon from Typo, Day 6 - Kikki.K pens, refills and Crunchie chocolate (one of my fave)

Jason has been so thoughtful with each gift and you can not believe how much I squee each day that I open one. I do love to see Jason's reaction to his gifts too. I'm a little bit random with his gifts because can be so hard to buy for.

Only two more days of work! Have a great rest of week.

Christmas Crafty Day

Hello lovelies. Yesterday I had a casual Christmas crafty day at my place. A few of my girls came over for some snacks, laughs and of course time to make any Christmas crafts/be creative. I didn't really have a set idea on what I wanted to do so I spent a lot of the day just playing with my glitter and stamps. In the end I was inspired and I was able to come up with my Christmas card design for friends this year.

1. What's a gathering at my place without a little favour for everyone?
2. A few tubes of glitter
3. A crafty mess
4. My card idea
5. Some of my supplies for inspiration
6. Making my cards
7. More crafty mess
8. Laura showing off her garland she made (plus her dress is so gorgeous!)
9. My friend Erin's 3D fawn frame she made. I want to try this myself
10. My Christmas cards I'm making this year. I was inspired by the fawns and had fun using my embossing powders and heat gun.

It was such a fun day and I want to host more of these gatherings. It was good way to meet up with my friends, to be creative together and to catch up. It also made me realise that I tend to gravitate to more creative minded people because being around them made me feel so inspired.

I hope I can do more of these next year.

A Christmas Review

Hello lovely people. I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas break. I have about 5 days left before I have to go back to work.

I have a little Christmas review for you. On Christmas Eve we went up to my brother Alvin and sister in law Melly's house on the Sunshine Coast. It unfortunately rained so we were unable to go to the beach but it was still a fantastic day.

My nephew Micah and I posing in front of the mirror (in the future nephew's nursery - my parents are waiting for a girl from me haha) Don't you love that drool :p

Jason and Micah. There were no more bibs he drooled so much so we tucked a face washer into his little suit.

My other nephews Isaiah and Caeleb.

We spent the afternoon playing the board game Cranium, which Jason and I won. I have no idea how though.

Part of the table we set up. I made the Bonbons.

A close up. I made the name tags too.

Jason and I after dinner.

Just a quick snapshot of the gifts. I mainly used brown paper again this year.

This is Christmas Day. We had my parents and Jason's mum and grandma over for a BBQ lunch. So this is our table set up and I made the Bonbons again.

I decorated with a few paper lantern balls from Typo. We also went to dinner at Jason's mum's house at night with his brother and girlfriend.

And the rest of the photos are what I received with the Advent Calendar we were doing.

Day six - A Lindt Chocolate bell :) Love Lindt.

Day Seven - A Lovely smelling candle from Dusk

Day Eight - A cute little fawn/reindeer (we're not quite sure what it is) ornament.

Day nine - A pretty 2012 Calendar.

Day ten - A Kikki. K pen and little notebooks.

Day eleven - Some 2012 Filofax refills (I love that this one is practical - I needed them).

Day Twelve - Wooden letters and heart from Typo. I think this was utterly adorable.

So overall it was a great Christmas. It's crazy how fast it all goes. I'm enjoying my time off but we also have some house guests for the week. I can't wait to get into my New Years Resolution list, planning our trip to the USA, planning a mini blog meet up and so many other things.
