Cousin love

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and Easter. Ours was fabulous. Four days off work, remembering Christ and being with family made it a very enjoyable weekend.

These set of photos are one of my favourites from the weekend. It's cousin love. Micah (left) and Elijah (right). They are two of my beautiful nephews who I just ADORE! These photos are so precious. Seeing them makes me feel so blessed that I have such a wonderful family. I truly could not ask for a better family.

Also, I feel like I should try and be a little more personal on my blog and share more of my happy moments. Like I mentioned in my last post I want to print more photos, frame more of them and have some albums. I have this need to document more of my life. Capture those little things. And one of those things is to print more photos out and personalise our little house.

Have a wonderful week.

Valentine's Day and travel

Hello lovely people. I trust you had a good Valentine's Day. Ours was quite good. We don't full out celebrate but keep it simple.

Jason gave me this card and wrote a sweet message inside.

I gave Jason this Love Birds card and wrote a little letter inside. I then left it on his bedside table to find in the morning. I had another card but it came too late in the mail.

Jason surprised me with this Travel journal. I wasn't expecting any gifts so this was so sweet.
"I hope this gift is helpful for planning our trip and documenting our travels" - Jason
It was even cuter because he was so excited about the present and couldn't wait to show me the pages inside.

These are the main pages inside the journal. I love it! It's the best size and it gives me space to note down my memories. When I get back from the holiday I will make a journal with photos and other little bits.

I'm so excited for our overseas adventure. So far the places we have on our itinerary are LA, San Fran, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Dallas, Tulsa, Michigan, Toronto, DC, New York and Orlando. It's going to be 5 packed weeks of travel. If you have any suggestions on places to see, things to do, shops to visit and food to eat, please let me know in the comments :)

5 years

Today Jason and I have been together for 5 years! We've known each other for more than 6 years but started officially dating on the 9th July 2005. It's our 6 month wedding anni this month too.

(P.S. I have my own domain now but I have to set it up first. Yay!)

Here are a few photos from over the years.

My 21st birthday. Went to the beach for the day.

This might have been Laura's birthday from ages ago. And Jason's hair was always longish.

The year of the last world cup (2006) when the Socceroos played a friendly game in Brisbane.

Ahh my 22nd birthday. And yes I wore fairy wings :) Photo taken by Laura.

I had a bit of a fringe here and Jason's hair went blonde. I remember Jason, me, Laura and Josh went down to Byron Bay for the day so the boys could go sky diving. But weather was too bad for it so they didn't get to do it.

Might have been one of Caeleb's birthday's in a park. Still blonde I see.

We went to the Ekka (Royal Queensland show) and this was on the way home.

A church young adults formal.

My university graduation. Jason gave me the grad bear.

When Jason came to the Philippines with me and my parents.

I can't remember what lookout this is but my brother Alvin used to organise these car rallies and we'd all go driving up some mountain.

Ah Christmas '08 I think. This was my old house (well parent's house) And in the background on the TV you can just see a picture of me with Santa. I got a free photo because I was a Santa helper and the guys who take the photos told me to get one.

Our engagement photos taken by Laura

And Wedding day

I might post more photos from the Engagement and Wedding one time because I know a lot of people haven't seen many of them because you've only seen my blog post wedding.

Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!

Much Love Monday

I've decided to participate in a series via Much Love. Every Monday you can take a photo of something heart shaped and write down one thing you love. Simple :)

I love: This book to write about your other half. I got it from Kikki.K. I was meant to give it to Jason for Christmas but I didn't have it finished. Then I tried to have it done for just after the wedding...nope. So I tried for Valentine's Day. Still not done so I finished it for his 25th birthday (which was on the weekend). I had to have Post Wedding answers because some things had changed.

Other things I love....
* Breakfast with my family
* Dinner with friends and pretending I'm really into the sports that are playing on the 4 tv's!
* Cheesecake!
* Cute new ballet flats (I will show a picture with the feet love post tomorrow)
* Shopping for clothes to wear to ballet classes
* Wearing soft, fluffy ballet look slippers after getting my feet wet (because it rained again and it even fell through our undercover area) while having dinner with friends and pretending I'm into the sports that are playing on the 4 tv's (and not being able to complain because it's Jason's birthday)

I will have to do more of these lists with photos next time. It will make it more interesting to read. And I have a lot of random photos I want to share because some of them are really cute :)

I just wanted to mention that I bought this Kikki.K stamp set too. It's completely adorable and I used them in the Love book.

Remember you still have at least another day to enter my giveaway. I will announce the winner on Wednesday and list the books that were mentioned. Thank you for your suggestions. It will keep me busy.

A dinner

On Saturday night Jason and I had our 4 year anniversary dinner. I had work all day so I was quite tired already. We went to this place called Liquorish. It was lovely. Great food and company.

This is a little collage of our night. I know it's uneven and the photos aren't too good. The lighting was soft and the flash made things look bad.

Jason had bought me a lovely trench coat. I saw it at work and loved it. It's what I'm wearing in the pic.
And this is the trench. It's soft of a silver shade. I thought I would muck around with iPhoto to get the other picture.

Here it is again, and I have been playing around with iPhoto a lot.

I did say last post that I would write about how we met. So here is a quick rundown of the story.

Jason and I met on the train in 2004 and we were 19. We were on our way to university. It really wasn't as random as that because a friend of mine, Thara,  was in the same course as he was and she was also on the train. We just happened to meet that way =) Although if you really want to get technical you could say we 'met' at a party in 2003. I went to a party with Thara for another one of her uni friends and I kind of met him there. I don't remember it but the weird thing is Jason happened to be in the photo, which I only realised after I met him properly.

This was our first photo at uni. Yes, he had funny blonde hair and we look young (not that too much has changed). That year we became really good friends but we didn't start going out until the year after. I had just come out of another relationship and really didn't want to be in another one. He was definitely patient as we both had our issues to deal with and really when we finally starting dating it was so much better than it probably would have been if we started going out earlier. We built up a fantastic friendship first and I really do think that helped.

I really do love and adore him and I'm so excited that in 6 months I get to be married to my best friend! Here are a few more pictures over the course of our relationship.

This was Jason's university graduation in 2006 I think it was (I forget sometimes).

I don't remember when this was taken but I think it may have been the first time I met some of his extended relatives.

This was my 21st birthday we went down the coast for the day. Yes I'm wearing swimmers they're just strapless =p

This was for our church's young adult formal. A masquerade. I think in 2006.

This is my university graduation in 2007.

Jason came to the Philippines with me and my family in 2008. This is at a restaurant on water.

Us now. It's been a wonderful 4 years and I look forward to many more years together.
