Cousin love

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and Easter. Ours was fabulous. Four days off work, remembering Christ and being with family made it a very enjoyable weekend.

These set of photos are one of my favourites from the weekend. It's cousin love. Micah (left) and Elijah (right). They are two of my beautiful nephews who I just ADORE! These photos are so precious. Seeing them makes me feel so blessed that I have such a wonderful family. I truly could not ask for a better family.

Also, I feel like I should try and be a little more personal on my blog and share more of my happy moments. Like I mentioned in my last post I want to print more photos, frame more of them and have some albums. I have this need to document more of my life. Capture those little things. And one of those things is to print more photos out and personalise our little house.

Have a wonderful week.

New nephew Elijah

Hello lovely people. Thanks for all your messages and such about my birthday. It was a great day and I will do an update about it soon.

Last weekend we went up to my brother Alvin and sister in law Melly's house. We went up to meet the new baby. Plus it was a celebration for my birthday with my family.

This is Elijah Benjamin (all my nephews have biblical names). He is so little and adorable and light as a doll.

I didn't realise that he did a little face plant. I hope I didn't suffocate him.

He kind of looked at me here :) Soo clucky.

I'm such a proud aunty of 4 nephews. The boys run strong in the Landicho clan. So I think they are waiting for me to have the girl since it will be the Standen side :)

I hope you have a great week.

It's an outfit post.

Hey lovelies. Thank you to everyone who has entered my giveaway. You have until the 7th of September if you still haven't entered :)

So this weeks outfit is from last Sunday. It was my mum's birthday so we had lunch at my parents place after church. We took photos with the family in the yard but I decided to play around afterwards like I used to.

The tire swing. I spent time on here thinking and dreaming.

Climbing on the trees.

I have no idea what I was doing here. Caught off guard?!

Outfit...

 Blue cardi - Tempt
Tank top - Kmart ($5 - I bought 3 in different colours)
Skirt - Oh Sweet Joy
Footless tights - Target
Pointy flats - Witchery
Necklace - Lovisa (It's a shame you can't really see it)

Me and Micah hanging out.

I know this photo is a little blurry but I love his little smile here.

Jason hanging with Micah and Caeleb.

I sat Micah up. That's my hand to prevent him from falling because he almost toppled over here.

Oh he's such a cute little chubby bub.

Have a fantastic and blessed weekend!

Bits

Image from Tumblr

I wouldn't mind being here relaxing.

I'm feeling out of sorts lately. I have so much to do but I don't really feel like it because I've only really just gotten better now. So don't mind this post as it will be all over the place.

On Saturday I went to work finally and Jason came to visit me. He bought all 5 seasons of Alias! He's absolutely the sweetest! He bought it as a surprise present and it was the most wonderful thing to happen while I was at work unpacking Christmas decos and hacking up my lungs. He is simply the best!!!

It was Father's Day on Sunday here in Aus so after church, the family went to have Mexican for lunch. So good and filling. Here are a few photos from the day.

Caeleb had this cute little outfit on for the day. The tie was the perfect touch. This is him being posing seriously.

This was just before church started. Caeleb was mucking around this toy. I was the one who told him to put it on his nose.

I just love peach ice tea, though I prefer the Lipton version, it's still so good.

My fajita. I could only eat one this one was so big! It was delicious! I love Mexican food. And this restaurant is really fun.

Had to show both boys. Caeleb and Isaiah. It's hard to get Isaiah to smile properly for the camera. So bad that I didn't even get a photo of my dad seeing it's Fathers Day. But everyone else was taking photos anyway.

The other good surprise was I found out that I could buy Catching Fire. A friend from work mentioned that she found it at Kmart of all places and I was so excited because it hadn't been released in Australia yet and I had already ordered a copy for me and another friend Claire from Amazon. Then on Sunday Claire messaged to tell me she found it and bought me a copy. So after lunch Jason and I went to meet up with her at Borders. We ended up chatting away with her and her bf (who works as security at the shopping centre). I was too nervous (I've been waiting for this book awhile) to read it straight away so I watched about 7 episodes of season 1 of Gilmore Girls which Claire had lent me.

This is the version I have but I will be getting the hardcover version from Amazon soonish. Seriously this book serious is amazing!! The Hunger Games is the first book, Catching Fire is the one just released and the third book will come out next year sometime which is going to be torture waiting for it. I'm obsessed with this series and I have to say it's one of my absolute favourites! It's dark, intense, absolutely twisted but it is so addictive. Truly check these books out.

The basic story of The Hunger Games is 24 kids are chosen to fight to the death in an arena while the rest of the country watches. It's set in a post-Apocalyptic, dystopian world. What used to be the United States has been turned into 12 districts (well 13) and the capital Panem. It follows the story of Katniss Everdeen and it is emotional and some of the things shocking but there is a bit of romance too so it's not all brutal. After I finished The Hunger Games I re read it. I couldn't get this book out of my head. It haunted my dreams. It's hard to think that it's a childrens/young adult book. And now I'm re reading Catching Fire and it's evoking those same emotions I felt when I read Hunger Games for the first time. I give this series my highest recommendation.

Anyway, I hope you didn't mind my little side rant about this amazing series. I hope you have a fantastic week!

Contemplating

Right now I'm sitting here eating breakfast and listening to my nephews play the Wii (they stayed over last night so I'm the one looking after them today).

(I got them to stop playing and pose for me)

I'm drinking my tea and just doing lots of thinking. There are a few family issues that are stressing me out but all I can do it keep praying and believing that God will make a way.

* I do want to say thank you for all the lovely comments your all so beautiful thank you!*

To keep this post more upbeat I thought I would share a few images from The Style Salon and Angels Dreaming website. The Style Salon is an events styling company and Angels Dreaming is their sister company specialising in custom invitations. I like to use the website as inspiration.

I just adore the design and prettiness of the decorations. All the images come from their website

Well I have a day off this weekend so Jason and I can book our honeymoon and look for wedding rings and plan our engagement party! Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. Watching Harry Potter tonight! Wheee! I re-watched all 5 other movies in preparation.

A fun weekend

I had a busy weekend with movies, my nephew Isaiah's birthday, a fundraising event and mother's day. I thought I would just show some photos from the weekend as they make me happy. By the way, I had my last dressmaking class last night. I will try and show my creations next time.

My oldest nephew Isaiah and I at his 8th birthday party. I can't believe how much he's grown and how old he's getting. He was born when I was 16!

The party was in a park. As usual my hair never stays neat when I'm outside. The weather was beautiful!

Parks bring out the children in us (or I guess you can say make us more child-like).  This seat spun round in the most dizzying way.

Isaiah was given a light saber as one of his presents. So of course my youngest nephew Caeleb had to be the one to play with it. I spotted him having a light saber 'fight' with one of the other kids. It made me want to get one and join them =)

This was taken at night. We were having a girls night out and the boys had a night in. My mum, me, my sis in law Liz, my future sis in law Melly and Liz's mum Paula all headed out to a fundraising event at our church. We watched a show and profits went to the SHE Rescue home in Cambodia where they rescue and house girls that have been sold into the sex slave industry. A worthy cause and a fun night out.

This was before we left. I had to play around with the light saber, definitely wanting to get one for myself.

Taken on Mother's Day after church. This is my oldest brother Rolf, my mum, my other brother Alvin and I. It's a tradition to get photos with the kids on Mother's day (and father's day).

We have a lot of photo maniacs in our family so there's always so many pictures. Jason and I have been accidentally matching lately. (One of the only photos I haven't touched by editing it besides to crop).

Caeleb is quite proud of his temp tattoo. My brother Rolf reckons he will want a real one when he's older (doesn't help that he himself has 3 tatts lol).

I caught Isaiah at the wrong time while drinking his babyccino, though he has been known to close his eyes in photos often. It was such a great weekend.

I had to add this. Jason and I watched the new Star Trek on Friday night and I loved it!! I've never really watched anything Star Trek but I remember watching the trailer a few times and enjoying it. Definitely want to watch it again =)
