What a lovely weekend

I had a great weekend! Jason and I stayed at the Mercure Hotel on Friday night.

This is part of the view from our room. It was an overcast day.

How pretty were clouds though??

Walking into the city, we found that they have these bikes you can hire. I thought it was a great idea.

We went to Wagamama for dinner. I had the chili beef ramen. It was delicious!

We had to go past Krispy Kreme for a little dessert.

This is what it looked like the next morning. It was a beautiful day!

We went to the Finders Keepers market on Saturday.

My outfit. One of my favourite new summer dresses.

And I wore my TOMS :) They are the comfiest!

I didn't get to take photos at the markets this time except this one. I will however do a post on what I purchased. I went a little crazy I think and there was still so much I wanted to get.

Sunday was a quiet one after church and our usual breakfast at The Coffee Club. Today we did some cleaning. Our garage was in desperate need of being cleaned. It's starting to look better.

Anyway, it was a great weekend! It was so lovely to have those few days off with Jason. Next post will be my Finders Keepers purchases.

Weekend recap and bridesmaid ideas

Hello lovelies I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Our plans changed a bit. We still watched The Ugly Truth. It was great! Totally inappropriate but oh so funny =) On the Saturday we went to look for wedding rings but we also helped out my brother with finding his groomsmen outfits. And since I work at Myer he needed my discount card and my help.

Anyway, that night we watched the Brisbane Roar soccer game. In my last post I referred to the team as Queensland Roar but their name has now changed. We lost though =( Sigh.

Here's the Roar getting ready for a penalty shot. Our only goal that night sigh.

I just had to add this one. At half time each corner occupied some littlies playing. It was too cute!

On Sunday after church Jason and I had our usual hot chocolate for me and caramelatte for Jason and croissants. That's our breakfast after the early morning service at church. Afterwards we decided to do our engagement registry. It took us about 3.5 hours and I still don't think it's complete. Oh well at least we started it. It was a great weekend!

Well lately I've been thinking about bridesmaid dresses a lot! Still I know. It seems like I'm hardly moving forward with it. The lovely Nicole made a suggestion about Twobirds (this is the Aussie site). I've seen it before but it was a good reminder. Thanks Nicole!

It's such a great concept and it's given me some good ideas. I'm being so indecisive about this I need to just make a decision.

Anyway, I begin my week of planning (since I'm barely working lately). I do want to say that I have a wedding website HERE. I hope do add more details and photos. Hopefully there will be more photos that I don't post here. Have a great week.

A fun weekend

I had a busy weekend with movies, my nephew Isaiah's birthday, a fundraising event and mother's day. I thought I would just show some photos from the weekend as they make me happy. By the way, I had my last dressmaking class last night. I will try and show my creations next time.

My oldest nephew Isaiah and I at his 8th birthday party. I can't believe how much he's grown and how old he's getting. He was born when I was 16!

The party was in a park. As usual my hair never stays neat when I'm outside. The weather was beautiful!

Parks bring out the children in us (or I guess you can say make us more child-like).  This seat spun round in the most dizzying way.

Isaiah was given a light saber as one of his presents. So of course my youngest nephew Caeleb had to be the one to play with it. I spotted him having a light saber 'fight' with one of the other kids. It made me want to get one and join them =)

This was taken at night. We were having a girls night out and the boys had a night in. My mum, me, my sis in law Liz, my future sis in law Melly and Liz's mum Paula all headed out to a fundraising event at our church. We watched a show and profits went to the SHE Rescue home in Cambodia where they rescue and house girls that have been sold into the sex slave industry. A worthy cause and a fun night out.

This was before we left. I had to play around with the light saber, definitely wanting to get one for myself.

Taken on Mother's Day after church. This is my oldest brother Rolf, my mum, my other brother Alvin and I. It's a tradition to get photos with the kids on Mother's day (and father's day).

We have a lot of photo maniacs in our family so there's always so many pictures. Jason and I have been accidentally matching lately. (One of the only photos I haven't touched by editing it besides to crop).

Caeleb is quite proud of his temp tattoo. My brother Rolf reckons he will want a real one when he's older (doesn't help that he himself has 3 tatts lol).

I caught Isaiah at the wrong time while drinking his babyccino, though he has been known to close his eyes in photos often. It was such a great weekend.

I had to add this. Jason and I watched the new Star Trek on Friday night and I loved it!! I've never really watched anything Star Trek but I remember watching the trailer a few times and enjoying it. Definitely want to watch it again =)
