Note cards for Etsy

I've been trying to make some mini note cards and getting ready for when I open my Etsy next month I should think it will be.

They're quite simple and cute but I think that's my main style when I create them. So enjoy!

I'm loving the paper I'm using. And of course butterflies play a major role and it's a recurring theme.
I'm showing one card per set. They don't all match because it all depends on the placement of the pattern when I cut the paper out.

I guess that's what I like about them. They can look different. I'm also loving tiny rhinestones if you haven't already noticed.

Another thing that's different is I'm going to do some mixing and matching. I'm not sure yet if it's better to have matching cards per set or to mix them up. Any ideas??

And I haven't gotten round to making the envelopes yet either. I will get them done in time. I want to make at least 20-25 sets of 4 note cards before I open.

I'm also tempted to get a pro flickr account. Hehe I've been doing a lot of planning to get this Etsy shop open. I have a lot of ideas and I'm bursting with inspiration. Not just for the shop but in craftiness in general. My sewing course starts in 2 weeks!! So I'm trying to find an easy pattern for a skirt and some fabric. Feel free to suggest =)

Etsy, note cards and journal Love

For awhile now I have been contemplating on getting a Mac laptop. And I'm so ready to get one but at the rate I'm spending it might be another month before it even happens.

I have a few Etsy things to show that I purchased the last month. I have a bit of a thing for cute artwork =)

I got this sweet little postcard and this cute little button from BelleandBoo . I adore all of her artwork. It was difficult to decide which ones to get. I still have quite a few that I would like to get from her.

I purchased this from Charliemotel She has some really sweet artwork as well. She had a buy 1 get 1 free sale so I bought some greeting cards which I will frame. I love this style.

Besides that I have been making more note cards (of course). I've decided to make a special set.

These are my new note cards. I have recently bought a corner cutter and I love making round edges now. And since I love butterflies and polka dots I thought I would try and make some simple ones. I love glitter glue as well. I had so much fun making them I am making a few more. I have yet to make envelopes for them.

Here they are again, resting on two of my new journals. As you can see I'm pretty much butterfly obsessed. And paper....and journals....and stationary eeep!

I decorated these journals simple with some lovely vellum butterfly stickers I got in a swap awhile ago. The pink journal has a 'Dream Big" rub on. I'm planning on using it for my Etsy everything.

These are some envelopes I made because I wanted to use my paper for something =) I'm thinking of making more and maybe put them in my Esty as well. I have a lot of ideas I think.

That's it I think. Thanks everyone.

I'm (basically) done

Yay! I had my last exam yesterday and I'm pretty much free! I have a little bit of my independent study to do but besides that I'm finished! And my graduation is finally figured out, so I will be hopefully graduation next month. Yew! Pretty exciting times for me. Though I have gotten a bit sick. Mainly tiredness and a bit of a sore throat.

Well I have a few things to share. It was one my best friend's Laura's 21st birthday party on the weekend. It was a white themed birthday. Everything looked gorgeous with tulle wrapped with white fairy lights, candles which created a warm ambiance, delicious food, a lot made by lovely Natalia. It was a fun night. So here are a few pictures of the night and pics of the presents I got Laura. Actually Me, Natalia and Kristina did get Laura a combined gift. We got her an Australian Vogue subscription which she absolutely loves!

This is a gorgeous print I purchased from lovely Bec of My Charlie Girl. Her name is Coco. It's just in a frame I bought. I love the prints they are so beautiful. Go check out her work. Plus Laura loved it as she's an artist herself and Coco is appropriate for her as she loves Coco Chanel.

I love the Christina Re paper. These are just some little notecards I made her that I thought would be her style.

Just another angle. I kind of liked it =)It never seems to be sunny when I take photos. How weird?!

These are tiny notecards I made her. Each card has a different word I thought was appropriate. I would like to make more of these.

All the handmade items together. I covered a sketchbook with that pretty paper so she can take it on her birthday cruise. I thought she might be able to use it to sketch and note down ideas while on the ship. But it's small a good size, not bulky.

All the items together. I bought that Princess print for myself as well.

And the girls. Me, Laura, Natalia and Kristina. White was such a great theme. So beautiful and pure.

A photo of Laura and me. I look a bit funny here but she's looking gorgeous as usual =)

Just Jase and me out the front of the house. Too bad you can't see the lovely tulle and fairy lights properly.

Ok I'm posing a bit in this pic. I haven't got my heels on anymore so I look so small. The dress is actually nicer in person. It's soft and feels great on.

One last thing is I want to write about this from Natasha. For more information check out her blog. A virtual vintage prom sounds like so much fun. I've always wanted to participate in one of these. So please check it out.

Paper Dresses

The countdown begins. I have 3 1/2 weeks of uni class left. But also 3 weeks of study and exams but hey it's nearly finished.

After seeing the lovely paper dresses at Jeweledelegance. And I received some encouragement from her (not sure if she wants her name here lol)to make my own. So I did a free hand sketch of a dress. it's very simple but I'm using it as my base. I have a made 3 after mucking around with designs.

This is the first dress I made and decided to make it into a card. I quite like it =) I might keep it for awhile until I make more. I love this Cristina Re flocked paper. It's gorgeous! I love her paper full stop. There are so many yummy designs.

These are the other two creations. They will eventually grace some notecards I think.

I had some more mini notecards I made but the photo was shocking and can't be bothered to take another one right now. Though I am getting addicted to making paper dresses. I want to make so many more. Like some mini ones to put on mini notecards and some shoes as well. Might do a whole fashion line of couture dresses. That would be fun.

On other thing I want to add. My mum bought me this Lisa Bevere pack.
She's one of my fave christian authors and speakers. Powerful speaker and women of God. And her husband John Bevere is an awesome speaker and man of God. Well the pack included her new book 'Fight like a Girl', a workbook, a dvd and this gorgeous charm bracelet with Swarovski jewels. It's lovely!

And thank you everyone for all your lovely and encouraging comments =) I appreciate them all.
