My 6 Word Memoir

Thanks for your beautiful comments from the previous post. You are so wonderful.

I participated in  Six Word Memoir Postcard swap on Swap-bot. It was fun and challenging and I enjoyed reading other people's six word memoirs.

These are the postcards I sent.

My memoir that I wrote on each one. This was my memoir for now.

These were the postcards I received. It's funny because I sent out a Fearless one exactly like that on another swap.

It was fascinating to read what their 6 word memoir would be. I was thinking about doing this as the next swap for the snail mail group (it appears that The Happy Mail Project could be it's name). What do you think about this?

A fairytale journal

I'm sure a lot of you are experiencing problems with blogger and comments. It's pretty annoying and I'm thinking of changing to something else. We'll see.

Well I thought I would share some pages from the Swap-bot fairytale journal I made. I won't show every page because that would be way to many pictures, plus a lot of them are fairly similar. Maybe I will add them to my flickr (I have so many photos I need to add there).

This is the front cover of the journal. I bought a cute little carriage charm.

It was so fat when it was done.

Pretty much the first page. That's one of my Polyvore sets that I have shared before.

I made some envelopes and put some pretty paper inside.

I printed out some of the fairytale stories that I loved.

More little envelopes. This has tiny cards with a castle on it inside.

A Snow White page.

I bought a few bits from Etsy. This ACEO is from Darkling Woods etsy shop.

This Little Red Riding Hood art postcard is from Matilou Etsy.

I got this Red Riding Hood button/bookmark from Buttonsbylulu madeit shop.

Just a Thumbelina movie quote and picture.

I got this little fairytale from Papier Mache magazine. It's a little download story I bought.

And the ending. I had a fairytale paper pack. I just stamped the Happily Ever After.

So basically I filled it up with pictures, quotes, little gifts and gave my opinions on some of the fairytales. It was a fun swap! I'm really loving these journals swaps. They're more effort but fun (especially if you get one that is lovely back).

Anyway, I'm going back to doing my to do and thinking about moving my blog somewhere else. Have a great rest of week.

Hectic

It's been another hectic week. I've had exams, work, trying to see people so I can graduate! Eepp! Plus I was trying to finish off that Swap-bot swap. I've neglected penpals as I almost can't be bothered to write. Work was busy as it would be my first day was a catalogue toy sale!! Which means many customers wanting things from the catalogue and I had no idea, so I had to wing it a lot of the time. Plus being thrown into registers was pretty full on.

Anyway, one week of uni left!! One exam and a few other bits(and hopefully graduation but it all depends - long story sigh).

Thought I would show a few photos of me and my nephews. They're not great photos and I look like a dag =p

Caeleb and I were mucking around for the camera. It's so much fun being with my nephews.

Us in the yard. Just playing around. Eee! I love them so much! I guess all you mothers know what it's like to have kids. Gosh I love my little nephews!

I just had to share this one. I adore this picture.

Well, like I mentioned before I was trying to finish off my swap-bot Swap-bot book of letters swap. I sent it yesterday and this is the finished product.

This is the front and back covers. I thought I would show the pictures this way or then there would be way too many!

These are the first 4 pages. I put my little movie quotes on the other pages. They are from some of my partners favourite movies.

More of the pages. Too bigger pictures just click on the photo =)

I made the book and most of the envelopes its simple but I thought it was best to keep it that way. It was fun to do but it was probably bad timing as I had so much work to do.

Well I think that's it for now. Oh and I'm going to start making some things for my little giveaway thing =)

A new job!

I have a Christmas casual job at Myer. I received the call to say that I have gotten a job there over the peak trading period. I just wanted a job for Christmas time as I haven't really worked this whole last semester of uni. I didn't mention anything about it but I have a group interview last week, got through that and had to apply to a specific position online and yay got the call. For those of you who don't know Myer is a huge department store here in Australia. The other is David Jones though it is quite up market. I've worked there too and I will not get into the details of that.

Thought I would show a picture of Jennifer Hawkins who is the 'face' of Myer. She was also Miss Universe in 2004. This was taken from the 2007 Summer show for Myer.

A few more things to add. I have one week of class left!! Though I still have 3 weeks of exams and study, but still I'm excited. I really can't believe how close I am to finishing. I can't wait to finally finish studying. Yay!

Swap-bot swap: BOOK of letters && envelope goodies swap! ♥
I swap with Swap-bot!

Oh and I am joining a swap at Swap-bot. I do swaps there here and there. Mainly letter ones because sometimes I will get into it and not receive back or my partner will not put that much effort into it. So anyway, that little icon up there is the link to the swap. It's called the Book of Letters and Envelope goodies swap. It sounds like so much fun. It's based on The Jolly Postman books. Has anyone read these books before?? I remember reading them and always wanting to make them. (My love of letters and mail has been going for a loonnggg time). So now I get my chance. It is going to be so much fun making my little book once I get my partner. And the organiser Danni is such a lovely person.

This is what I love about the internet world. You get to meet some fantastic people that you normally wouldn't have met. Either through swaps, forums or blogs. So thanks to all the great people I have gotten to know through the internet =)

* A side note - I would love to have a giveaway or something =) I see so many people doing it and it seems like such a great idea. I will get back to you on that.

Thought I would end with the last Moleskin notebook that I decorated. I'm thinking of using one of them maybe to keep track of all my penpal details. Anyway, until next time xox
