One Year Anni

For our one year wedding anniversary we stayed at the Marriot hotel in the city. The night before our one year. We had a lovely dinner that night.

Our room. I don't know what that white circle on my jeans is. Camera fail.

We had room service bring us dessert. My yummy pavlova.

The next day. This is the view from our room. You can see the Brisbane river which flooded. It's a horrible colour at the moment.

On the day of our anniversary we went to the Sunshine Coast to go to Underwater World, an aquarium.

A type of shark which may have existed.

Jason playing around (not sure why his eyes look like that)

I was completely fascinated by these baby sharks. They live on that sac. I guess it works like an umbilical cord. They have various baby sharks in different stages of development and it was so interesting to see.

Pretty, pretty sea horses.

This was in the Oceanarium tunnel. It's another world under here.

It was so weird to have these guys swimming over the top of your head.

One of the beautiful seals, in their viewing room.

This is a frozen Hammer head shark. It's the largest frozen one in the world. This guy is huge and creepy to look at up close. It's a bad photo but I had to show this fella.

Bubble head. There was this section where you crawl under and put your head in this bubble. It was crazy to see the fish swimming around you.

Afterwards we went down to one of the beaches to have a walk. It was such a gorgeous day.

We had a fantastic day and I'm glad we were able to spend it doing something educational but still fun. We also watched a seal show and I was thinking of getting a photo of a seal kissing my cheek.

It's my birthday next Tuesday (1st), which I will probably spend alone during the day :( but this weekend I would love to go to Thunderbird Park and mine thundereggs :) This year I want to explore my city and state more.

Anyway, have a wonderful and beautiful weekend!

Wedding Photobooth

♥ My 'ferret face' taken by Laura

Hello hello! Thanks so much for entering my quick little giveaway! I really do like the diary but I need it smaller to fit into my life.

Anyway, I found our Wedding Photo booth pictures. It was so much fun to go through. I thought I would share a few here. I also have a copy of some videos of our wedding that one of Jason's cousins did. I will see if I can break it up into smaller clips and post here.

Jason and his step brother Jason (funny I know) and my brother Alvin. This was before the wedding they were testing it out.

My oldest brother Rolf, testing out the camera and sign

Thara and Kristina, funny faces

I'm not sure why I like this photo :)

Our masks with Melly and Laura

My nephews Isaiah and Caeleb

Lizzy, my matron of honour and me

They were waiting to get their photo taken with their sign ready

Two of my best girls from high school, Kim and Alice

My wonderful parents

I know this is random wedding talk but I thought I would share some of these photos. There were a lot of funny ones too but a lot of them were personal jokes :P

Have a wonderful rest of week!!

P.S. I'm seeing Harry Potter tomorrow with Jason's mum and his brother's gf! Wheeee!

Happy 6 months (for tomorrow)

It is our 6 month wedding anniversary tomorrow :) To celebrate we are watching a rugby union game, Australia vs. South Africa. At the time of getting the tickets it didn't even occur to me the day it falls on. But that's alright tonight we are watching Inception (as it's the thing to do) and having dinner.

Anyway, I mentioned that I would share some wedding photos with you because there are quite a few of my bloggy friends who haven't seen them (saw my blog after wedding). So there might be a few repeats.

These photos were taken by Sharon Pappas. She was awesome! Absolutely loved her. So down to earth and lovely.

My fave photo of Jason

You could not guess my parents age (I can't say because mum would kill me)

My nephews in their Filipino Barongs.

We have a canvas print of this photo and we used this for our thank you cards.

Close up of our centre piece.

We had a very simple centre piece set up.

These next two were taken by me. lol

I took these so they would know how to do decorate at the venue. These photos are for Jasmine. She's gathering inspiration for her wedding. As you can see we had photos of us holding the table number.

I spent a whole night putting those butterflies on the lanterns.

Anyway, if there are any other photos that you want to see or even other wedding related questions, feel free to ask me here or email me and I will try and incorporate them into a blog post (or an email depending on what you want to know).

I'm so happy that I'm married and truly blessed to have Jason!! Have a beautiful weekend everyone!!

Just a minute in...April

Just a Minute in...April

Reading... The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks, The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman

Watching... Heroes, Clash of the Titans (hopefully this weekend)

Writing... Letters and in my journal (it's getting quite fat from all the bits and pieces I glue into it...does this happen to anyone else?)

Needing... To print our Thank you cards out and other photos (I have blank frames hanging around the house)

Wanting... To create items and re open my Etsy shop (I have some new ideas)

Hoping... To stretch myself and try new things and experiences. To learn how to do some things well (like take good photos, be able to use my letterpress, be more creative)

Praying... For direction

Loving... God and my family (I've been getting so emotional about them lately)

I have a few of the professional photos from Alvin and Melly's wedding. These were taken by Stewart Gould (his website doesn't seem to be working) but I got these from Melly's FB page.

I think this is absolutely stunning!

She is so gorgeous!

We did a few beach shots. They were pretty fun to do.

This photo cracks me up! It's hilarious. They took these before the wedding ceremony. I can't believe Jason looks so buff :p

They are all the photos that they have received for now. More will be coming but it depends on when they get them. They are probably on their way to Europe right now after 2 days in Singapore. I wish I was too :(

Anyway, the parentals are coming by to bring us some food. lol. We seriously need to go shopping.
