Just a Minute in....June

Sweet little nephews Micah and Elijah.

Watching... Games of Thrones (sad that the season finale is on tomorrow), Full House (it brings back such memories)
Feeling... Quite inspired to create. I'm just not sure what I'm going to make yet
Planning... My holiday. For the next few months this will be a major part of my day
Praying... For the courage to follow my passions and to stop being so afraid
Wishing... For some time off work (I wouldn't mind a few days off for a mental health day)
Hoping... I hear about my job soon

So I haven't really heard any news about my job but I am keeping my faith in God that it will all work out and I will have a job after the end of this month.

Thanks again for any suggestions I've gotten about my USA holiday. I'm getting really excited about it. And I'm thinking about a few things I would like to get before we go.

I'm thinking about getting this bag as my travel bag. I know it can fit a DSLR camera because a friend of mine's sister has this bag and she fit hers in it. Plus it can be used as a satchel which is what I want for my travel bag. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Also I'm thinking of getting a pair of these shoes.
RMK

Which ones do you like better? I would also like some black flats and a pair of TOMS ballet flats. I'm sure we will do a lot of walking so I want pretty shoes that are still comfortable. If you have any suggestions let me know :)

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

It's an outfit post

Dress - Supre (one of the only things I own from there)
Tights - Equip
Boots - Target
Necklace - Gift
Cuff - Mombasa
Bracelet - Gift

I really love those boots. I've been wearing them everywhere lately. It's also starting to cool down but it's still not cold. Though I guess people in Brisbane can't really say it gets that cold (we are quite wimpy with cold weather).

I'm thinking of getting these shoes as my next allowed purchase. It's a great boot/wedge heel that I can use to dress my outfits up a little more without having to wear heels. For some reason I just can't wear heels well even though I'm so small. I figure these will get me through winter.

What's catching your shopping eye lately?

A few recent purchases

So, Jason is off on another work trip and I'm a little sad to be by myself for a few days again.

Anyway, I'm on a budget when it comes to shopping while we are saving up for our USA trip so I've only bought things I really want. I have a list and I can choose from that list each week pay.

I bought these boots from Target. I love them because they toughen up my more girly look. I've worn then a few times already and they are quite comfy.

Jason bought my this pretty sequin heart jumper/top. He felt bad because our groceries went over budget so it ate into my money so he bought me this :) He is such a sweetheart.

I'm not sure what I will do for my next 'allowed' purchase. Maybe a few more wintery clothes. Maybe accessories like scarves or jewellery. Suggestions? :)

Shoe Wishlist

Hey lovelies. I hope you are having a great week. One of my biggest obsessions at the moment is looking for shoes for my US trip. I don't know what it is about shoes but I could spend (I do) hours looking for the perfect ones.

Since there will be a lot of walking I want some comfy, but still pretty flats (so no sport shoes unless they are Onitsuka tigers or something). I would love a pair of TOMS ballet flats. I have a red pair of their normal shoes and they are so comfortable.

I do like both of these colours. I'm leaning towards the cream and black ones. Which do you prefer?

I like both these RMK flats. They have a tiny inbuilt wedge so they might be a little better on the feet. I'm not really sure which one I like better. Maybe the nude/flesh ones. What do you like better?

These are Django & Juliette flats. I thought these would be good for comfort because they have the thicker rubber sole. Which colour do you like best?

I still have plenty of time until I have to make a decision but I most likely will get at least a pair of TOMS and some other pair of flats. I will be living in them for 5 weeks so I need comfortable shoes.

If you have any other suggestions let me know.

A little Shopping spree

Hello my loves. I hope you are having a great week. Mine is going quite well. I'm now a member of the Fitness First gym. There is one across the road from my workplace so I'm fairly motivated at the moment.

As for the 52 Weeks of Mail I write a lot of letters and send a lot of mail so it's not really difficult but I don't send mail out every week more like I send in bulk every few weeks. I just have to learn to write more often.

On the weekend, Jason and I went on a little shopping spree (more like I did). These are just a few purchases.

I bought these from Target. They are surprising comfy and I love them for work.

Kikki.K was having a 25% off sale so I bought these. Another journal, more notebooks, a stamp and pen, a notebook I will use as letter writing paper and a book belt for the pen. I love the range they have out at the moment. Very pretty.

So I hope you are having a great week. I'm making paper bunting for my sister in law's baby shower. It's going to be a busy busy week!

Happy Things to end the week with

Hey lovelies. My happy things list is a little late this week. It's been a more struggling week but that is due to lack of sleep. So it really hasn't been too bad.

This weekend is rainy and gloomy so I don't feel like doing much. It will be nice to relax and catch up on things.

So happy things to end the week with...

♥ The daffodils I bought for Daffodil Day, which is the Cancer Council's fundraising day. They are so bright and yellow, though they are looking a little sad here from being held all day.

♥ My afternoon treat from Gloria Jeans. I bought a $1 lamington from there too. I love that it had a chocolate Australia for decoration.

♥ My first Book Depository order. This is a pretty book full of Letterpress goods.

♥ My new Target wedges. I just adore the bows and the inside floral pattern.

♥ From another angle. I don't wear heels much but I thought I should try to wear them more this summer.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Ahh pretty glitter

Hey lovely people! I hope you're weekend was good. I didn't get to make my glittery star wands but it's on the agenda for this week.

Speaking of glitter, I have a few glittery items on my wishlist...

Via TOMS

Gold glitter TOMS! I was thinking about these but I'm not sure if they are too out there??

Or maybe silver.

Black perhaps. It would be a more subtle glitter.

I wouldn't mind some pink ones but I couldn't use them for everyday.

What do you think? What would you choose??

And would love to own these.

Via Ban.do

These sequin heart shoe clips. I simply adore them! But shipping is too expensive (I would mind these glitter shoes either).

At the moment though, I wouldn't mind a pair of glittery ballet flats for this season. I almost bought a black glittery pair from Target. I wish I did now.

Do you like glitter/sparkly shoes?

Mail, shoes and packing

I leave for the Philippines in six days! So this may be my last post unless I have access to a computer in the Philippines. I thought I would share a few things. This is going to be a mix of everything today.

First I was tagged by Heather to write 10 weird/interesting facts about myself. So here we go...

1. I'm a sucker for even numbers. I have to have things even. I can't have the volume on the radio/tv etc on an odd number or I will be staring at it and feeling all jumpy unless I can change it. But for some reason I don't mind 'certain' odd numbers like 3 and 5 and some others =s

2. Ahh I was vice captain of my primary (elementary) school. And president of the student council lol.

3. I was born here in Australia but I had my first birthday in the Philippines.

4. I can understand tagalog (main Filipino language) but I can't speak it. (A lot of people are surprised and ask why I can't speak it. It's so different being able to understand than speaking).

5. As a child I wanted to be a nurse (because of the white shoes??!), a teacher, a writer/or journalist(I loved descriptive writing as a child) and in highschool I have always wanted to be a PE (physical education) teacher. And I wanted to since year 10 but as soon as I got into the course Human Movements, I did it for a year and decided I didn't want to be one anymore.

6. I had my first penpal when I was 9.I still love receiving mail. Probably even more so now.

7. I became an aunty at 16 when Isaiah was born. And I was 20 when Caeleb was born.

8. Hmm...I was taken to the hospital in Singapore via an ambulance when I started to hyperventilate and couldn't get enough oxygen (this used to happen quite often but the doctors have taught me how to control it). We were only in Singapore for that one night as it was a stop over flight. It was pretty embarrassing.

9. I developed sport induced asthma when I was 12. After many tests of them thinking I had a heart murmur or some other major problem they found out it was sport induced asthma. Though I don't have it anymore.

10. And this will be my 6th trip to the Philippines.

Whee! Done. That was quite hard to do. Anyway moving on.

Yesterday I got my Amazon package. It was part of my Christmas present from Jason. Nothing like receiving a package.

I got the Where women create and Organsing your craft space by Jo Packham and the Craft Inc book by Meg Mateo Ilasco that I have wanted for ages. But it's way more expensive here. So can't wait to read these ones.

I received this beautiful print from Shae. It is lovely and such a wonderful surprise to get in the mail. I have to get a nice frame and put it up in my new room. (There's a bit of glare from the plastic, I didn't want to take it out yet until I can frame it).

I also received this from Heather. It was packaged so prettily.

It contained this gorgeous handmade bookmark and little tag with some Christmas greetings. I love it! Thanks Heather it will be very useful for my new books plus I'm a bookworm anyway =)

Here was all the mail I had received in one day! I love it so much! It's so exciting to look in the letter box and see a sweet letter or pretty package waiting.

I went crazy looking at shoes. I bought these at work in the kids section lol but I have small feet. I love these!

And these ones I love too. I also bought these at work. They were on a one day 50% off markdown. As you can see I shop in my 15 minutes breaks a lot. One of the girls I work with has the same two shoes. We are both small and have a lot of the same tastes.

Well that is it for now as I have to start packing because I won't have much time to do that at the end of the week. I hope to blog when I'm overseas but it all depends.
When I get back I will have ideas for my belated birthday as I will still be overseas for it. My birthday is the 1st February but I get back the 7th.

Everyone take care.

Busy busy

Last week was so busy! My uni classes are all finished! But I still have 3 weeks of study and exams. I've also had some work training and today was my Myer orientation. I found out I'm working in the children and toy section. So that should be fun =) though crazy through this christmas period.

Anyway, thanks for all the comments you guys left. It was lovely of you. And to answer a question, I don't get a discount at Myer until after 3 months. But I get a discount on black and white apparel as long as it's suitable for work.

I haven't really been able to make much as I haven't been able to but here are a few things I have to share.
Jason bought me this top. There are a lot of cute vintage style tops at Myer. Sorry terrible photo. It's cloudy and rainy today and didn't use a flash.

And here are a pair of little flat shoes I bought from Target for $13 or something.

They're really quite cute in this muted gold tone. They would look good with a sweet white summer dress.

And I thought I would add a little something to the shoes. I've been wanting to decorate some plain little ballet flats or other flat shoes for ages now. It's not glued on yet so it's a little off centre lol.

The shoes on a different angle. I quite like them I think. Definitely want to decorate more flatties. It's kind of weird though as I'm small yet I love wearing flat shoes. I guess comfort is more important to me than height.

Oh and I think I will definitely have a little giveaway soonish. Maybe in a few posts time xox
