Modes4U Review...I get a bit creative

Hello lovelies. As you know I'm a major stationery, letter writing, journal writing fan. It's been a part of my life for many years now and I hope it continues to be a part of my life. Cute stationery is especially a favourite of mine and when I find an online shop that sells stationery it makes my happy meter go up. That's where ModeS4u comes in. It's a Kawaii online shop (Japanese cuteness explosion!) that sells stationery, fabrics, DIY clay sets, bento lunch boxes, Re-Ment Miniature toys and accessories. I had the opportunity to use some of these products.

I think cute packaging is always a plus.

Colourful business cards and some deco tape thrown in as an extra will make my smile.

These stickers are so fun!

Who doesn't love Pandas??

What I love about this stationery is it can be used for sweet letters to a friend, or for writing lists, or put into your journal to add a bit of cheer.

The envelopes have this sheer window and a little card to slip in to write the address. It adds a little 3D element to the letter.

The stickers inspired me to create this Alice in Wonderland page in one of my journals. I think it adds a nice touch to the page.

I also made this little fawn page which has nothing to do with the quote I added but to me it makes me think of fairytale books and how much I love them. I just love those stickers.

What I like about this online shop is the close up photos of the products so you can see the detail. There's also free international shopping when you spend over a certain amount and there are a lot of different items you can purchase. If you like Kawaii stationery and items this online shop is a must. I wouldn't mind getting myself more stationery and trying out one of the DIY clay kits or getting some Re-Ment Miniatures

So check out ModeS4u and get creative and add more cuteness into your life.

Disclaimer: ModeS4u sent these items to me without charge to review. Words and opinions are my own.

Etsy stationery

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was quite relaxing besides one work shift. Sunday afternoon Jason I watched some movies on the lounge (Brothers and Saving Private Ryan). We haven't just sat and watched movies together in awhile and it was a really lovely to just relax.

Anyway, I've been looking through Etsy as usual and found some stationery/writing related items that I would love to get. I could browse that site for hours.

Imagine wearing a teeny journal around your neck? You could keep your memories, dreams and thoughts close to you.

I know that when I have kids I'm going to dress them in cute and different onesies like this.

This is sweet. It's inspired by Audrey Hepburn and her pet deer.

A wax seal necklace is a unique necklace and great for a letter lover like me.

Via Nice

I told Jason I would love to receive something like this in the mail :)

A calligraphy kit. I learnt basic calligraphy in primary school, but would like to learn it again.

A cute stamp to decorate your letters.

This little kit would be great for journalling.

This little hand bound journal would be a good size for a handbag. Plus I do like the colour.

Another great set of stamps to decorate your letters.

Does anyone else have a huge Etsy wish list? I try to support Etsy shops and other indie/handmade shops as much as possible. I love the uniqueness of the items. Plus many Etsy shops will cater to your specific needs.

Have a fantastic week!

Travelling mail/journal kit

I have this large pencil case that I've turned into a kind of mini travelling journal/mail kit. It's small and I can fit a few of my supplies with the intention of writing on the go.

This is the pencil case from Typo

At the moment it's filled with post cards.

These are some of the note books I'm currently using. A black soft cover Moleskine and two from Typo.

I'm wanting to add letter writing paper, assorted pens, stickers and other little bits to stick in my journal or letters.  And I'm thinking about having a little stationery giveaway on here soon. With a few of my favourite bits and pieces.

Plus I have a special thing that I'm planning for the snail mail group, which I will have to blog about soon!

Does anyone else have a little writing kit or journal they take with them?

Tiny Mail

I have always loved teeny tiny things. And when I saw this little over at Letter Writers Alliance, I did a little squeal. Lea Redmond of World's Smallest Post has partnered with Chronicle Books to release this gorgeous stationery set to send your own tiny mail. When it's released I might have to gift this to myself :) I had actually sent Jason a tiny letter via World's Smallest Post and have loved it ever since.

Seriously, who wouldn't want to receive this in the mail?

Plus Lea Redmond also had a tutorial over at Photojojo to make teeny photo postcards.

I know I will be making these so I'm sure some of you will be receiving some in the mail :)

And on the topic of mail I'm trying to think of a name for the snail mail group. Here are a few ideas but I think they could be a little corny. Let me know what you think...

Filofax love

Thanks for all your lovely comments :) They truly make my day!

For my anniversary gift, Jason gave me a Filofax. He told me he wanted to get it for me because the first wedding anniversary involved paper. It's a really thoughtful gift because I have wanted one for soo long!

It's this pretty aqua/turquoise colour.

It came with this pretty pink note paper.

I've started writing in it.

It has a little plastic pocket and an area for coins, notes and cards if you want to also use it as a purse.

What I love about it is I can keep myself more organised. It has an area for address and phone numbers, a To Do list, an area for notes. I like to write all my things done even though I have an iPhone. I guess to me, I feel as though I'm more organised when it's written down with pen and paper.

I'm just trying to find the perfect pen to accompany it now. Anyone else like to use organisers? Or paper diaries?

Eeep! I'm my birthday on Tuesday and I really don't want to get a year older :( I might spend my day shopping because I'll be alone :( Though I'm meeting Jason for lunch and we will go out for dinner (and my Alice in Wonderland themed birthday later on in the month too).

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!!

P.S. I'm having a giveaway over at Busy Bee Lauren's blog :) Check it out

A happy list for the week

It was great to read your baby thoughts :) Thank you!

I've been feeling good lately and wanted to share a happy list from the week with you.

♥ Watching Eat, Pray Love with Julia yesterday
♥ Eating maltesers in the movie theatre because I was starving
♥ Going to Max Brenner for the first time (with Julia)

This is my hot chocolate in my hug mug :)

This is the waffles Julia got. Delicious!

♥ Finding out Borders has a whole lot of new stationery ranges (my mouth watered)

Borders has pretty masking/deco tape now

My sneaky shot of the tape with my iphone.

Another sneaky iPhone shot (why these photos aren't so clear)

♥ Seeing new stationery lines at work (whee!)
♥ Buying my first pair of TOMS shoes (I loves them)

I was quite excited to get them.

♥ Going to TYPO and buying some Christmas presents (I'm in love with this store)

Most of this is for pen pals  :) Makes me feel less guilty for purchasing so much

♥  Buying things in Mombasa (one of my fave shops) during my 15 minute work tea breaks

I love this necklace. I wore it yesterday and received quite a few compliments.

My new skirt from Mombasa. I wish I bought the green one now just because I'm trying to get out of buying pink.

A floral dress for summer. I don't wear many prints so I'm starting to branch out.

♥ Buying the Frankie 2011 Daily journal.

This diary is slightly too big for me so I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep it yet.

♥ Putting together my present for my friends baby. Little Layla was born on Thursday

Hopefully be visiting my friend and baby this afternoon.

♥ Walking around Southbank in the afternoon.
♥ Realising that I live in a beautiful city and I'm going to learn to appreciate it more.

Have a wonderful rest of weekend!

My swap package

Thanks so much for your comments on my headband :) It's something I'm thinking about putting into my Etsy shop eventually.

I have yet to show what I sent and I what I received for my Just Because You're Lovely swap. There were a few problems and I'm not sure I would host another biggish swap. If I do it will be a postcard or letter swap or something small.

Anyway, here is what I sent to my partner, the lovely Jasmine.

This is the whole lot I sent her. It was mainly a lot of stationery because she has a little obsession like me.

A few pens and pencils.

A camera pen and some cute letter sets.

Some highlights, paperclips and some masking tape.

A card, a journal, some stud earrings I made and a book locket necklace I made.

This was the sweet card from Jasmine.

This was attached to the front of the parcel.

The whole lot! I really love each and every item. I haven't tasted the tea yet but I might have it tonight. I adore the little spoon too.

Plenty of butterflies :) and pink bits.

This journal is amazing!! I've wanted to get one similar for while one. I love the old carte postale style (I'm thinking of starting a collection of items like this I think).

Thanks again to everyone who participated. I truly hope you had fun. Remember you can email me photos or blog about the swap. And if you still have problems let me know.

Have an awesome weekend! After work tomorrow we are off to the Sunshine Coast for my brother's bday!
