Maternity Session

Hello hello! I haven't posted in awhile and I wasn't sure if I would post again. But I had some really lovely maternity/pregnancy photos taken by one of my best friends Laura and I really wanted to share them. These were taken at 38 weeks and I have approximately only a week to go until my little is here :)

We went to a local park that had some great woodland style trees and I borrowed the dress. Laura also had the flower crowns made and our other friend Erin also came to help out. I wasn't going to have any photos done but I'm so glad I did to mark this special time in my life.

So there might be a baby post next time! Have a wonderful weekend.

A new Adventure

Hello hellooo! I know it's been months since I last had a post. I wasn't sure if I would even come back to blogging. Right now I should be in Europe with some of my favourite girls (another thing I hadn't blogged about) but instead I have a different adventure awaiting :) Baby S will be making an appearance in February. If you follow me on Instagram (@graciebellabutterfly if you want to follow) or Facebook you may have already seen this news.

I'm excited, anxious and it's a whole new adventure. It wasn't exactly planned (hence my Europe trip) but it's something we have discussed and I guess it was the right time :) Jason and I have taken this week off work to do some major house cleaning and prepping the soon to be nursery.

I hope to blog more about the whole experience and would love to hear your thoughts.

Babies on the Mind

So my nephews, Liz and baby Layla came to visit me last week. I adore having a little baby around to play with.

This is just a little video of Layla. We were trying to get her to say her 'words.' You can hear me speak in the background. I'm the one that goes " Do your words" the first time and a few other things. One day I will do some type of video.

The boys are playing the Wii in the background.

And this is her baby pirate picture. She's showing off her little teeth.

I love it when my little ones visit me. Plus Layla is collecting quite a large collection of headbands and hair clips. That's the way baby girl!

Hope you have a great rest of week. Not sure how many posts I can get out before I leave for Bathurst.

Hangin' with Micah

So on Friday, I hung out with my sis in law Gem and baby Micah. I had a great day, talking and playing with the baby. Not that you can do much when they are this age but he and I sat on the lounge watching TV.

Wrapped up nice and snug. He looked so teeny in his movable cot.

We took him for a walk which he enjoyed.

Having a nap on the lounge.

On Saturday Jason and I went to visit again because Jason's hadn't seen him yet.

Micah is attached to his dummy and when it falls out of his mouth he lunges for it (as much as a baby can lunge) when you hold it in front of his mouth.

No one is looking forward to taking it away from him when he's a little older. I simply adore the little fella! I love all my sweet nephews.

Have a lovely week! And don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Outgoing Mail love

Hello lovely people. I haven't done a mail post in oh so long. I have a few things I've sent out and I have received a bit. I need to get back into it.

Here are a few sneak peaks into the mail I've sent...

This is for Megan

For Micaela

For Jane, a new pen pal.

For Erin. (Oops a little blurry)

Oh and this was for the Beat the Blues swap. My partner has received her package. I sent some pretty journal/notebooks and pens as some of my fave things, the Kimmi Doll for luck (or too remind you that you are blessed, I don't believe in luck actually) the Crunchie chocolate as a sweet treat and the tiny soap as an extra because it smells pretty.

A close up of the notebooks and Kimmi doll.

And just to add a photo of me and my new nephew Micah!! He's quite teeny (and I squished his face a little in this photo with my arm) There's nothing like holding a new born baby.

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Clucky cluck cluck

I'm feeling a serious case of baby fever lately. Babies are all around me and it makes me want one.

These photos are from my future nephew (Micah's) baby shower from the weekend.

Me with Layla-Rose. One of my best friends', Liz's baby girl. (That's her mum's arm on the left).

She and I spent some time together, which I loved! (Good thing you couldn't really tell how hot and sweaty I was feeling. It was a scorcher of a day)

Wearing her little pearl bracelet that I got her for Christmas.

Sticking her tongue out at me! Oh such fun we had.

Seriously I get so clucky when I'm around babies. But yet again I remember that it's not the right time. Jason and I still want to do some travelling and to be honest we are still too selfish to have kids, we love our time together and I know having a baby will change that.

Although, it doesn't stop me from planning for the future children. I'm so tempted to start collecting items. But for now I will spoil the babies around me and my nephews and be glad that I have them in my life.

And all of those who have children cherish those precious little blessings :)

Meet Layla-Rose

This is sweet Layla-Rose. My good friend's baby girl.

She has really long lashes. I absolutely adore her already.

I love seeing Jason when he is holding a baby. She fell asleep in his arms.

She was having a little cry here. Is it bad that I thought it was really cute?!

Right, so now all I have to do is stop wanting to have my own baby and wait until we are completely ready for it!! Sigh

Just a minute in...May

Just a Minute in....May

Reading... Eat, Pray Love (about to start and I keep hearing so much about it), Frankie Magazine, Real Living Magazine and Shop til you Drop Magazine, re-reading Harry Potter too

Learning... To crochet (using YouTube tutorials - so far I keep stuffing it up)

Feeling... Quite positive and creative. Lately I feel so light?! I'm overwhelmed with how inspired I can get and how happy I can feel. I love it and I hope it stays.

Doing... Some journal swaps on swap-bot. I'm in three! One is a fairytale journal and the other two are journals with a theme for each day. I love swapping journals with people because it's fascinating to see how they interpret the questions. If someone would like to do a journal swap with me let me know :)

Needing... To stop procrastinating and do all the little things

Wanting... To decorate the house and personalise our space. Lots of ideas but just have to start them

Hoping... I can achieve all the goals I've set myself for the year (or just the month)

Loving... God, My family, my friends, my blog friends, Jason (he made dinner last night because I wasn't feeling very good!! he's amazing!)

Thinking... About babies. And no I won't be having one anytime soon. Although I'm a lot more clucky than I thought but we couldn't have a baby yet. We still want to travel and have time for ourselves. But I still have fun looking at baby things and smiling at them at work. Plus it's too much work for the moment. The baby/toddler next door cries (more like screams) several times a day and there's no way that we could handle that.

On that topic, Jason and I are going down to Bathurst for his dad's 50th birthday next week. His step brother's girlfriend has just had a baby (eee!) so I've been wanting to get some items for the baby girl.

So far I have bought this little baby tights since it's coming up to winter here (and waaayy colder down south). I thought I might put together bits and pieces for the baby.

While being in a baby mood there are a few things on Etsy that I think are sweet. I might do a post with some of the baby things I would if I had one. But here a few things now.

A baby pixie would be sweet.

Who doesn't think that isn't adorable?!

For Jason.

This is more for me.

This would be sweet.

Hehe and ruffled bloomers. Yes!

Via GraciousMay Etsy

Amy Butler fabric booties...eee!

I hope you don't think I'm weird for looking at baby things and planning for a baby that won't happen for awhile. And I would love little unique items like this.

Have a wonderful rest of week!

Resting until stocktake

The Myer stocktake sale starts next week. So my hours sky rocketed. I was rostered for 47.5 hours with six days straight, but I managed to get it down to 43.5 instead. I'm so glad I was able to because it was just a ridiculous amount.

I am loving the rain though as it hasn't rained properly since about February and we really need it. Our dams need it so much.

Anyway, I am so much more inspired at the moment. I have 50 million ideas running through my head. A few being: making stationary sets (I have ideas for kraft paper and parchment paper), baking some cupcakes, and going to an actual sewing course! Yay! I've emailed the instructor to figure out details. I hope I will be able to.

Here is another flickr mosaic. It's mainly of little baby booties. I find them soo cute and I would love to make some to decorate. Plus I have this dream to be able to make baby clothes and donate them to various charities and other organisations. But this will come in time. The pictures are mainly from Japanese craft books and a few from other magazine images. They are inspiring me lately.

Anyway, I will leave it here and hope you all are well.
