My new camera!

Hello lovely people. I have finally bought a new camera. It's a Canon 600D and I do love it already. I'm still learning, so most of the time the pictures are me just pointing and shooting and a tiny bit of adjusting.

I took all these photos at church (afterwards).

1. My dad and nephew Micah
2. The only smile we could get from him
3. Grumpy face
4. Micah and my mum

One day I will share Micah's story and explain the condition that he has. We love him not matter what though.

Have a wonderful week!

Regional Flavours Adventure

Hello lovelies. I hope you had a good weekend. I had a great weekend. There was dinner with family then Batman on Saturday night, church on Sunday morning then Jason and I went to Regional Flavours at Southbank. It's a festival that showcases local Queensland produce and creativity with cooking. It was really wonderful.

We had breakfast at a place called Denim cafe. My favourite thing is the way they serve their hot chocolate with a tiny bottle of hot milk.

They had these wheelbarrows with different herbs. You were also allowed to pick some and take home.

I loved this stand. I bought some lovely tea and I was so tempted to buy a clear teapot and teacup.

We bought this tub of honey from a local farm.

This is my purchase from Tlicious. Some calming tea that I have started drinking at night to help me sleep and these pretty Jasmine flower balls (the reason why I wanted a clear teapot and teacup to watch it blossom). They also gave away these Kitchen Stories mini cookbook.

I wore this pretty crocheted Peter Pan collar from PeopleWebs etsy shop. It's so pretty.

One of my favourite things is when we go out and have mini adventures in the city. We are such homebodies sometimes that when we do go out I again realise how much I love Brisbane.

Have an awesome rest of week.

A Little trip update and work theme days.

Hello my lovelies. It is nearly only a month away until our USA holiday and it's taking up a lot of my thoughts. I thought I would do a small trip update.

♥ We have booked about half of our flights within the US and most of our hotels
♥ I'm listing down all the things I want to do when we get there
♥ I've already listed down what I want to pack
♥ Excited that when I get tax back I might be able to get a DSLR camera before we go
&hearts: Really looking forward to meeting some beautiful blog friends (one of the things I'm excited about the most)
L-R Top - Polka dot bows, coral/white polka dot scarf
L-R Bottom - Leopard Print scarf (for our Leopard print day and I borrowed that one), metallic gold polka dot tights.

Also at work I've been trying to have more fun with accessories. We've also been doing a weekly theme at work (for team building haha) and it's been awesome. So far the themes we've had are
♥ Black and grey
♥ Leopard Print
♥ Navy
♥ Yellow and black (the reason we chose this colour theme is more of a personal joke in our area)

Seriously, if your work place is a little more casual you should implement it. The most exciting bit is coming to work and seeing what everyone wore.

Do you do anything fun for work?

It's an (old) Outfit Post!

Hello lovelies. You can not imagine how happy I am that it's the weekend. We were able to drive into work this morning and leave early. If only we could do that every work day.

A few weekends ago, Jason and I went to one of my friend from high school's engagement party. I didn't have a camera so I just have my outfit and a photo I took from Facebook :)

Dress - Ally
Jacket/blazer - Bardot
Belt - Forever New (off another dress)
Shoes - RMK
Necklace - gift

It was supposed to be Black Tie but I wasn't sure how formal to go. Plus it was freezing outside on the balcony but it was the most beautiful location (I wish I had photos!)

This is a photo a friend also from high school took. Jason and I haven't had a photo in awhile and I just had to smile like this :p I meant to close to my eyes because the flash was ridiculously bright.

So this weekend I plan to do a lot of relaxing and just catching up on things. During the week I'm too lazy to do much after coming home from work and cooking dinner. I love weekends!

Have a beautiful one.

Finders Keepers Winter Market

Cardigan - Myer
Blouse - Quirky Circus
Jeans - Asos
Shoes - Toms
Necklace - Lovisa

I went to the Finders Keepers Market on the weekend with the lovely Jasmine. I love hanging out with her and we always have a great time.

It's one of my favourite events of the year though this particular market felt a little smaller. But it wasn't a problem because I was on more of a budget this time.

I got these sweet journals from Paper Boat Press. It was such a fantastic deal. I already have two of these.

I got these from Hungry Designs. It's not my usual style but I love Disney Princesses.

And of course one of my favourites Bespoke Press. I love their sweet new mini notecards.

I realise I didn't take as many photos this time but there is another market at the end of the year. And it's 41 days until America :) Eeee!

Have a great rest of week.

A few gifts

Hello lovely people. I hope your week has been going well. This week feels like it's dragging for me. So I can't wait until the weekend. Plus it's The Finders Keepers Market.

Last weekend, Jason bought me a few items 'just because'. It was so sweet and lovely.

I got this sleeveless yellow blouse. It makes me feel like the weather is warmer.

And I got this flippy skirt. It's really adorable on and I can't say no to polka dots.

I do love 'just because' gifts. It really made my day. On other news, it's just under 7 weeks until we go to the USA. So far I've only booked our New York accommodation and booked one internal flight but I should be able to book most of our accommodation this week. I know it's not that far away and the weeks will fly by but I feel like it's not coming fast enough. Or maybe it feels that way because I'm desperate for a holiday.

Mien Moir Purchase

Hello lovely people. I previously blogged about my friend's Etsy shop Mien Moir here. I made my first purchase from her shop and I love it!
The dress was wrapped carefully in tissue paper and it's so beautifully made plus the fabric feels amazing.

I wore the dress today. It feels great.

And this is my pretty bunting necklace I bought from Lovisa. I love that store.

Remember to check out Mien Moir it's lovely shop :) Plus remember I have 20% off my Etsy shop with the code LOVELY.

Hope you are having a good weekend.
