Rain, rain go away

This has been the wettest summer that I can remember. It has been raining so much that if I ever see sun I need to go outside and feel it on my skin.

If it's not raining, it's an overcast day. It's hard to believe that a few years ago we were in a horrible drought with water restrictions. Now our dams are overflowing and half the state is flooded.

But I should be thankful that we have water and everything is looking nice and green. Plus this weather makes me want to read and watch movies or a TV series. What I've been doing is watching TV shows and making things. I'm only just getting back into everything.

This is my latest project. Making fabric yoyo's with the intention of putting them on headbands, making shoe clips and a few other things. I want to make some bows too. I'm loving fabric and pretty shank buttons lately.

I want to create more for my Etsy and branch out a little from my usual fare. I have a lot of ideas floating around in this head of mine.

A few creative things to do...

♥ Create more items for Etsy
♥ Work on my project idea for Project You :)
♥ Catch up on all my mail
♥ Start creating for my Alice in Wonderland themed birthday (my birthday isn't until 1st of Feb and the actual party won't be until later but I really want to creative for it so I should start now - I have tons of ideas so maybe a post on that later)

I think I just want to be more creative in general. Work doesn't give me much of an opportunity with that so it's nice to go home and make things.

So have a lovely weekend and I want to say to Jasmine of Lavender's Green that I hope you have a beautiful wedding and have fun!!

I wish I could be more creative and create such beautiful things the way you do! Those fabric yoyo's are so pretty! I love how versatile they are too, how fun to be able to make them into so many different things! Lots of fun things in store for you by the looks of your creative things to do list!

An Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party? Fun!!!

It's been raining here for days on end. I feel your pain (although it is winter here, so I can cope with it a bit better than if it were summertime!)

And, I'm so with you on finding more creativity in the new year. Sometimes I let myself fall into a creativity lull...I feel like I'm there right now!

And the Alice party? Adorable! Cannot wait to see some photos from it!

Your rosettes are so beautiful!
In Finland we are in the middle of winter time and we have a lot of snow this winter, more than 40 centimeters at the moment.

We have the rain here too but we expect it at this time of year and I know you certainly don't. I was listening to the cricket commentators talking about the weather and just how awful it has been (sorry shouldn't have mentioned the Ashes! ;)

Hope you get to have a creative, fun weekend Gracie.

Your yoyo's look incredible!! Can't wait till you put them up in shop :)

I have been thinking of you a lot lately and wondering if you were affected by the floods. SOOOO glad to hear you are not amongst the stranded.

Your birthday bash sounds brilliant! Now those are some pics I will look forward to seeing :)
