Feeling flat

Ever since the Internet went slow and we went to Bathurst, I've been at loss at what to blog about. A quick catch up on our Bathurst trip. It was freezing as I expected and one of my favourite bits was picking up potential fire wood while wearing my borrowed Angora wool jumper from Jason's brother's girlfriend. It was pretty funny that we were both wearing pretty Angora wool jumpers while picking up firewood. Why wasn't I just wearing layers and a hoodie to top it off??

Jason's dad's 50th was fun. We had about 4 fires going and had some good food. It's all so country :) Some of them tried to stay up all night but I had to get to bed but couldn't sleep for hours because the music was so loud. I can't believe I didn't really take any photos. I didn't like leaving the fire to get my camera. It was too cosy.

I had fun playing with the new born baby. It made me wish :) but I know I can wait. I get enough babies and kids at work. And it's not always good.

Anyway, I thought I would share some of my journal, book and mail related wants. I went on a mini Etsy shopping spree for some supplies and such.

These are actually journals that look like books. There are 9 in the O-Check collection and I'd love to collection them all and have them displayed somewhere.

That is a tiny library check out card. It's adorable and it's a necklace.

I bought these 2 book locket charms. I can't wait until I can create something with it.

Via Tunni Etsy

This is a mail organiser.

I would also use it to carry around letters and stationery when I'm on the go.

Via Keykalou Etsy

I would love to buy this pattern for a journal clutch.

So my Moleskines will have a special home in my bag.

Another gorgeously cute book necklace.

And a tiny book charm too. Absolute swoon!

A little love letter envelope pouch.

This is really just too sweet!

And a teeny tiny leather journal necklace! Eeeee!

I definitely think I want this. Imagine when you have an idea, you can just jot it down on your necklace (although there would need to be a tiny pencil or something too).

Anyway that's just a sample of things I would love to get. I had a thought about what I can do for a blog post yay!

Have a wonderful rest of weekend.

A tag and award

I have an award and tag that is long overdue. With the Bathurst trip I will write about it next post. We didn't really do much anyway.

I received this award from the gorgeous and talented Andhari of Insomniac Lolita. It appears that I must answers some questions and pass the award on. Thank you!

1. Who is Your Style Icon?
I've always loved Natalie Portman's style and more recently Emma Watson.

2. Which is your favourite socialite book?
I don't think I've read any socialite book before.

3. Favourite Party Theme?
I have to say masquerade. I've been to a few and it's so much fun to make the masks. Plus there are some gorgeous masks to buy out there.
Made by me on Polyvore.

4. Go to Halloween Costume?
We don't really do Halloween here. But if I must, some type of fairytale character.

5. Extravagance you cannot live without?
My iPhone and Mac. I didn't need to buy a Mac or have an iPhone.

6. Living Person you admire.
My parents. They are the best examples of who I want to be as a person.

7. Greatest Fear(s)
Fear of failure. I think this is really detrimental because it stops me from doing what I want to do.

8. Traits you deplore in yourself
My procrastination and constantly comparing myself to everyone else. Jason says I compare myself way to much.

9. Which talent you would most love to have?
I would love to be one of those people who can whip up anything. For example they need a summer dress so they sew it themselves. They need a scarf so they knit or crochet one. They are going to a party and need a hostess gift so they bake something. I guess if I really worked at it, it might happen someday :)

10. Greatest Achievement?
I think would be getting where I am. Sure I've made plenty of mistakes over the years but I'm proud that I am quite happy with myself and I hope that one day I will truly be who I want to be.

I give this award to... Fashion, Art and Other Fancies, Diana of OneCraftyFox, Erin of Pughs News, Megan of Time After Tea, Jasmine of Lavender's Green, Anastasia of Anastasia Drawing and Dreaming.

And I was tagged by the lovely and sweet Rachael from It's Simple Love. In this tag there are 8 random questions that I must answer, then I must write my own 8 random questions and pass them on :) Thanks!

1. What Band is your "go-to-band" in the car?
I don't actually have a car but in Jason's car we tend to listen to anything kind of sad. That's our go to music for some reason :) There's no band in particular that I can think of...maybe Linkin Park?

2. What is your pet peeve?
I hate lateness. Being quite punctual myself I get really agitated when someone is late (and they don't msg to say they will be).

3. Who is your celebrity crush?
Ahh this changes all the time. I guess at the moment Sam Worthington, he is so typically Aussie. And for some weird reason I have a Draco Malfoy thing going on so I would say Tom Felton (I've been in the weirdest Harry Potter mood) and he's so nice in interviews. And I think I will always like Leo DiCaprio. Girl crush is also my style icons Natalie Portman and Emma Watson.

4. How would your friends describe you?
Ahh happy, thoughtful and sweet? Hopefully creative, friendly and loyal too :)

5. Where is the furthest place you have been?
Not too far. I guess the Philippines would be the furthest place I've been. I haven't travelled much yet.

6. What's the most important thing in a friendship to you?
Trust and being able to just hang out and have fun without feeling like I have to be someone else.

7. If you could change your name what would it be?
Hmm...never really thought about it. I did rename myself Graciana at one point :)

8. Unibrow or mustache if you had to have one?
I would choose the unibrow lol

I will pass this tag to... Jasmine of Lavender's Green (An award and tag for my new good bloggy friend), Joana of Ecological Storyteller, Caroline of Coeur de La, Sierra of Ocean Dreams, Mara of M Loves M, Alely of Oh Sweetlee Me, Amy of Junghwa by Amy Stewart, Belen of Belen:Beh-LEHN

My questions for you
1. What's your favourite fairytale?
2. Do you prefer Mac or PC?
3. How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
4. Heels or flats?
5. What's your biggest dream?
6. Your favourite book character?
7. Are you the type of person who keeps their feelings inside or lets it out?
8. Who is your role model?

You girls are all lovely! Have a great rest of week. It's Game One with State of Origin (rugby league) tonight. Queensland vs. New South Wales. If you live in either of these states you will understand how big this is. I have to admit I'm a fence sitter. Born in NSW but moved to QLD at such a young age I don't really feel any loyalty for NSW but technically I should be going for them :)

Back

Hello my lovelies! I guess I've been on a bit of a blog break with the Bathurst trip. This is more of a catch up post.

The day we were coming back from Bathurst was a crazy one. We were up at 4:30 in the morning to leave by 5:15 to get to Sydney airport by 8:45. But....the traffic to Sydney was horrific and it was raining so we ended up missing our flight. Sigh. Weird thing was I found it extremely funny even though we had to buy new tickets. I guess you have to laugh instead of getting upset.
Feeling sad about our situation

While buying new tickets online (to save money even though we were already in the airport) I realised that I couldn't connect to my email account. I then checked my Twitter account to find out that my blog was gone??! I had also found out that email account was hacked and sent out stupid spam to everyone on list. I was gone for barely a week and come back to this!
Buying new plane tickets.

When we finally made it back to Brisbane (the weather was beautiful by the way not COLD like Bathurst) I checked my account and found out that Google had suspended my account due to suspicious activity. I just had to put my mobile number in and they send me a code. So it all worked out.

So basically the day we came back we missed out flight and had to pay for new tickets, my email account was hacked and I had lost my blog but it all worked out and I found it quite funny in the end.

While waiting around. I like these shoes.

I should mention that with this flight it was a lot faster because we flew straight to Brisbane than all shared a taxi home. On the way to Bathurst it was horrible. This is how it went....
Car to Jason's mum's house (took us to train station), train to the city, train to the Gold Coast (cheaper plane tickets from that airport), then bus+bus+bus just to get to the Gold Coast airport, then plane trip, then train from Sydney to Lithgow then car trip to Bathurst. Plus is was frickin' cold! Were the cheap tickets worth it. I don't know...

Anyway, I have so much to catch up on but I'm procrastinating way too much. My to do list.
* Put clothes away and do more washing
* Buy a few bday presents
* Write letters (a few to catch up on now)
* Put a few packages together
* Work on my fairytale journal for Swap-bot
* Clean the lounge room of all my crafty bits, letters, books
* Answer emails and other bits that I haven't yet
* Look for a new job

I'm sure there is more. Sorry that this is a bit of a boring post. I have a lot to catch up on post wise and your blogs too.

Much Love Monday (Sunglasses)

Today I love: My heart shaped Project You Sunglasses run by the wonderful Alyssa. Basically, I get to wear them and take heaps of photos wearing them, I'll do a blog post about it and a Project You type of email (you have to sign up to know what I mean!) Then I pass them along to the next person and they do the same thing. The glasses also came in the cutest handmade case. I will have to post about this next time.

Since I'm going to Bathurst in a few days, I said I would try and get some photos with some cows on Jason's dad's property.

Other things I love this week...

* Getting home and putting on my soft, fluffy slippers, PJ's and soft robe after a long day at work (plus my legs and feet are hurting like crazy - two more days of this horror).
* Quick, easy dinner
* Breakfast with my family for Mother's day
* My nephews

This was taken yesterday after church. We had breakfast at our church cafe for Mother's Day. This is me and Caeleb.

He loves to do faces. This is his over eager smile.

This is his frown.

My lovely mum and my nephews Isaiah and Caeleb.

And Jase and me. I really am so small compared to him.

Haven't had many photos with him since the wedding really.
Well I probably won't post again until after we get back from Bathurst. For one I'm working and we are only here for a few more days, plus my Internet sucks right now and it's a huge hassle to post :( So I may not be able to visit your blogs as much as I would like to.

For more Much Love Monday head to Anna's blog. Have a wonderful week! I will see you when I get back so I guess this is a mini blog break.

I had a few posts in mind today but our Internet is really slow so I can't put many pictures up. It will a week before we get our good Internet back.

Just a minute in...May

Just a Minute in....May

Reading... Eat, Pray Love (about to start and I keep hearing so much about it), Frankie Magazine, Real Living Magazine and Shop til you Drop Magazine, re-reading Harry Potter too

Learning... To crochet (using YouTube tutorials - so far I keep stuffing it up)

Feeling... Quite positive and creative. Lately I feel so light?! I'm overwhelmed with how inspired I can get and how happy I can feel. I love it and I hope it stays.

Doing... Some journal swaps on swap-bot. I'm in three! One is a fairytale journal and the other two are journals with a theme for each day. I love swapping journals with people because it's fascinating to see how they interpret the questions. If someone would like to do a journal swap with me let me know :)

Needing... To stop procrastinating and do all the little things

Wanting... To decorate the house and personalise our space. Lots of ideas but just have to start them

Hoping... I can achieve all the goals I've set myself for the year (or just the month)

Loving... God, My family, my friends, my blog friends, Jason (he made dinner last night because I wasn't feeling very good!! he's amazing!)

Thinking... About babies. And no I won't be having one anytime soon. Although I'm a lot more clucky than I thought but we couldn't have a baby yet. We still want to travel and have time for ourselves. But I still have fun looking at baby things and smiling at them at work. Plus it's too much work for the moment. The baby/toddler next door cries (more like screams) several times a day and there's no way that we could handle that.

On that topic, Jason and I are going down to Bathurst for his dad's 50th birthday next week. His step brother's girlfriend has just had a baby (eee!) so I've been wanting to get some items for the baby girl.

So far I have bought this little baby tights since it's coming up to winter here (and waaayy colder down south). I thought I might put together bits and pieces for the baby.

While being in a baby mood there are a few things on Etsy that I think are sweet. I might do a post with some of the baby things I would if I had one. But here a few things now.

Via MonarchDancer Etsy

A baby pixie would be sweet.

Who doesn't think that isn't adorable?!

Via MamaMonkey Etsy

For Jason.

Via Babywood Etsy

This is more for me.

This would be sweet.

Hehe and ruffled bloomers. Yes!

Via GraciousMay Etsy

Amy Butler fabric booties...eee!

I hope you don't think I'm weird for looking at baby things and planning for a baby that won't happen for awhile. And I would love little unique items like this.

Have a wonderful rest of week!

Much Love Monday (Stationery)

Today I love: Stationery. I'm pretty sure everyone already knows how much I adore stationery! Jason made me that personalised stamp for Valentine's Day (maybe last years). I like to use it for my pen pal letters using parchment like paper.

So I thought I would dedicate this post to my love for stationery and show a few things on my wish list.

Hmm...I go a little overboard when I look at stationery. There was a lot more I wanted to add but I didn't want it too long :) You can already see my obsession. Stationery is definitely something I'm loving this week (and everyday).

Have fun! And for more Much Love Monday head to Anna's blog.
