Etsy restock

Hey lovelies. I've been slowly making a few new items for my Etsy shop. I thought I would stick to making mini notecards for the moment.

Of course it's butterfly related. The butterflies are stuck using sticker dots to give it a 3D effect, although you can't really tell.

I thought I would sell them in packs of two. They will be around $3.00 and I hope to list all of them soon.

What do you think? Do you like these little notecards?

Being creative

Yesterday it was raining so I spent the morning trying to make things for my Etsy. It took me a few hours to even figure out what I was doing and then actually create something. It's basically the same style that I usually do but I have changed it slightly. I have quite a few ideas on making different versions of my mini note cards.

Here's what I came up with...

Basically its tiny note cards in an envelope on another mini note card.

I thought inside the tiny note cards I could have a little quote inside (printed out) or I could leave them blank for you to fill in your own message. And there will be various other colours and styles.

But then you also have the main mini note card to write your message. I thought I could put a little envelope seal for the tiny envelope to put on yourself (if you want to write your own message or see the quote inside). And there will be another envelope seal for the main envelope too (although I didn't make any).

This is another idea. These are some small fabric magnets. I was trying to decide if I will sell them with the note cards or separately. Still pondering.

I was thinking of making these into some tiny earrings. Again wondering if I should add them with the note cards as a little gift and card in one??!! What do you think?

A photo so you can see how tiny they are. They are weeny and really cute.

So this is basically where I'm at for the moment. Just tossing different ideas around and figuring out how to make it work. Do you like them? The ideas? It's just nice to get some feedback :)

This weekend is a long weekend due to ANZAC Day. A day to remember the ANZAC'S (World War 1) who died, but it includes World War 2 as well. Jason and I are thinking of attending a Dawn Service.

We are also spending the long weekend cleaning and organising our house. It still feels like we are only half moved in so we are just going to tackle it and get it done.

Oh and another thing. Julia and Bree are hosting a Mixtape swap! Check out their blogs to go and participate!!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Some creativity

Waiting in the car before our venue appointment

Jason and I had another venue we checked out this past weekend. It was a beautiful place called Tambourine Gardens but it was a bit out of our price range, which was a shame. It's getting quite frustrating trying to find venues.

I'm trying to not let everything be about wedding plans so I've tried to be creative. This is a test run on an idea I have for mini note cards.

I always liked the windows so I decided to try and make a few different types. I've always liked having tiny envelopes. This is the closed version.

Another feature of cards I have liked is having a few pages. Almost like a tiny notebook. So I played around with that.

Since I had a closed envelope I wanted an open one too. But with this one I'm tossing around the idea whether to have a tiny note inside the envelope? So it sort of an extra surprise. I'm not sure yet.
The 'notebook' style pages again. I think I prefer the rounded edges. I always seem to round the edges or use some other type of corner punch.

On some other news my beautiful friend Laura was featured on Style Me Pretty. Also here and here. Check it out because you can see the lovely professional photos and the other details. It looks amazing on that blog. Jason and are going to use the same photographer Sharon Pappas.

This coming weekend we have an appointment at UQ (University of Queensland) to check out the wedding venue. A lot of people get married there because they have some lovely sandstone buildings and pretty grounds. I should know since that's the university I went to. And funny enough it's the same one that Jason went to but he was just on a different campus. It was through university that we actually met, well through a friend but maybe I will post that story another time =) It's quite interesting.

Have a good rest of week!

All sorts...

Image taken from heraldsun.com.au

I just want to start this post off by saying that I'm thinking and praying for everyone affected by those destructive fires in Victoria. It is utterly devastating to see the images and videos, so emotional to hear the stories of survivors and so heartbreaking to hear the stories of those who were lost. My thoughts and prayers are going out to the state of Victoria. I do have to say thank you to all the fire fighters and volunteers who have fought hard to save the houses and surrounding bush land, without people like them, things would only be worse.

I don't usually talk about or mention current events, but I felt I should with the Victoria fires. But I don't want this post to be completely sad, so I will keep on praying, supporting and keeping hope, along with the people of Victoria and Australia.

I have been tagged by Jo from Labour of Love, to find my 4th picture from my 4th folder of pictures. This is the picture.....

This is a photo from about 2005 of my gorgeous nephews, Caeleb and Isaiah. This is just the two of them hanging out on their veranda at their place. Funny thing is I don't really remember if I took this photo or my sister in law sent it to me..oops...I've taken many photos of the two of them over the years.

If you want to participate in this.....you need to go to your 4th folder of pictures and find the fourth photo. Post it and write a little something about that photo. I'm not too good with tagging people so if you would like to participate go ahead =)

Here's a random photo from the weekend. Jason and I had an afternoon wedding then a 50th Hippie themed birthday at night.

I tried to be a 'modern' hippie. I know it's not really, but I hoped to have some elements. My random photo of the day.

I have created a few more sets of note cards. I'm finally going to update my Etsy shop. I might put my other note cards on sale so keep checking back.

I love this new paper I bought last year. It's pretty the same style as my other mini note cards but I changed them slightly.
I adore this new paper too. I'm loving the new patterns as it gives me new inspiration.
And these are mini note flats. I got a new corner puncher. I might whip a few of these up.

I hope to put these in my etsy soon.

More Etsy and other photos

I want to say thank you to those who purchased something from my Etsy and the support! It is very much appreciated! I'm hoping to keep on filling it up in the next few weeks.

Here are a few new ones.....

It's a new style which I have been working on. I want to perfect it a little bit more though. I have to make a new tiny envelope.

Those tiny butterflies in the envelopes have a hand written inspirational word on it. 'Dream, Wish, Beautiful, Hope.' I would like to make a few different series with different words on them.

I've always loved tiny little envelopes and little surprises in kids books, so I though to add them to my mini note cards.

This is a photo of my first Etsy packages being sent off. Too keep postage down I tied the note cards up but didn't wrap them in nice paper as I originally wanted to do, unless of course it's for a present....then I would wrap.

I have a few other photos I want to share.

I made up this little present for a friend who is going through a tough time. I love that journal. It's from here. But got this one from a women's church conference. I love inspirational things.

This is a work in progress wall. I bought that wall shelf from Ikea. I will be changing it around when I have a few more things.

This is my 'inspiration' string on my wall in front of my desk. It has things I love, including... a fabric button note card I made, a little note book from Ellia, a clothing tag from the Philippines, a Stephen Mackey card, an Inspirational Verse card, my own mini note card which isn't there anymore, a tiny butterfly, a tag from Anastasia, another Inspirational Verse card, my business card, and another little note book from Ellia

Anyway, I have more photos and things for next time and I hope to put those items into my Shop.  Thanks again for your lovely comments and support.
