Finished inspiration board

I'm done! I have finished the board. Most of it anyway. I have put a few things on it but it was more for show. So here it is. The story.
This is how I painted the board. I thought I would paint it a bit messy.

My board with ribbon and pins. It looks nothing like the picture I posted before. But the book was the inspiration to make the board so I guess it doesn't really have to look like it.

And here is the finished version of the board with a few bits to make it look pretty. I will make it look better but I was trying to decorate it this morning quickly before leaving for the movies. I might post other pictures of it another time.

I watched this movie today. The first day it came out here in Aus. It was awesome! Jason has been looking forward to this movie for over a year and he has finally be able to watch it. I do have to say that I was quite impressed. The Transformers were amazing! And I do have to say newcomer Shia Lebeouf did great. It is definately fast becoming a new favourite of mine =)I recommend it.

This is the other movie that I am obsessed about. I wasn't even really going to watch this movie but Jason's brother said it was good so we did just a few days ago. I loved it. It is filled with action, emotion and a beautiful soundtrack. It really makes you think, especially about the conflict diamonds they showed in the movie. I have always liked Djimon Hounsu and he was awesome in it. And Leonardo Dicaprio. Well I used to have a massive crush on him from Romeo and Juliet and Titanic when I was around 12/13 but since then I never really rated him or anything. But this movie changed my mind. I totally respect him as an actor and I couldn't help but find him hot in it =) The South African accent was great. So he has become one of my favourite actors. It's also become another favourite film. Has anyone seen it? I fully recommend it as well as Transformers.

To make....

I'm loving holidays. It's going to be hard to get back to uni. I have been doing heaps of relaxing and planning things to make. My latest creation besides my little note cards is making an inspiration board. I have this book that was given to me that has given me the inspiration to make a board.
This is the book that was given to me for my birthday this year. It's a beautiful book with lovely photos.
This is a photo of the project that my board was inspired from. But mine is quite a bit different. I can't post photos of it yet as I didn't have enough ribbon. =(
I'm showing some of the items that I have used for my board. I need another reel of ribbon. And I have to colour in my butterlies. This board is going into the study/my soon to be crafting room. I'm just going to paint a wall first and turn it into a whole inspiration wall.
I had to add a photo of a present I got from one of my best friends. My birthday was in February but thought I would post this photo. I love it. The book is great! I love the photo frame and the shoe too. She also made me a mixed cd and personalised the cover pages. And the paper is a picture she created for me.
Thanks everyone for all the lovely comments. They are very much appreciated.

A few more

I want to say thank you to everyone who has been commenting. Thanks so much. It means so much when people comment and I really appreciate it =)

I'm on holidays from uni! Yay! I'm really excited to be finished for the semester. Only one more to go!

Anyway, I made a few more mini notecards. I really enjoy making them. They're the best size for little 'just because' notes and I love them being blank so it can be used for nearly any occassion.

I like the papers and colours of this one. I enjoy incorporating butterflies with my notecards.

I used tiny pastel coloured buttons in this one. I love those teeny buttons. I really want to get more.

I thought I would make another woodland creatures set as I gave my other notecards away.

It's hard to see the white roses on the paper. I love this paper. The cards are a bit stretched in the 2nd picture. Oops =)

I hope everyone is well.

Some things I made

I have only one more exam and to hand in one more assignment and I am finished for the semester. I will have about 6 weeks off! Yay! I'm quite excited as I have many things I need to do and finish up. While I was doing my major paper I took breaks and watched Stars Wars =) while making a few things.

I call this my cute woodland creatures mini notecard set.

This is just a different view. I enjoy making these while watching movies. It takes longer that it looks though.

I love those long necklaces with charms on the bottom of them. I think they're lovely. So I enjoy making them as well and finding lots of different charms. Though I seem to have trouble with it sometimes.

A close up of the charms. I love turquoise as well.

I really like these earrings. I don't really wear dangly ones but I will on occasion. And I like taking photos using my little teacup and saucer.

I thought I would experiment with those invisible line things. I like pearls and pearly surfaces.

This is my sweet tiny butterfly mini notecard collection. I love making little notecards with matching envelopes.

A closer look at the envelopes. The little butterfly matches the background paper of the notecards. And the paper of the envelope matches the little butterflies on the notecards.

This gives a closer look at one of the notecards. The wings are meant to come off the page as I wanted to look as though they're flying =)

And that's it. Since I should be going on holidays soon I'm sure to be making more. While watching movies.

A few fave things

I'm so close to being on holidays. I have an exam and an assignment left. Yay. I'm looking forward to having time off from studying. Anyway, I made something simple of a few of my fave things. I thought I would have fun with photoshop. I made a mini montage of some of my fave things. The pink
journal as I love journals and writing in them or using them for ideas. I prefer
blank pages so I can sketch and put little bits and pieces in them. The cupcake stand because I have the exact same one given to me for christmas. Plus I love cupcakes. The butterfly necklace to represent my love for butterflies. The teacups as I love tea and pretty teacups. The stationary shows my love for paper and for writing letters. And the ballet flats are to show my obsession with ballet flats =)
I have more things but this seem to be the best ones to use for the moment.
I also want to say thanks to everyone who has been commenting on my blog. Thanks so much =) Have a happy day!
