I dream a dream

Right now I want to daydream and pretend I never have to work again. Work is stressing me out and I don't need work stress on top of wedding preps and the family issues. My manager basically doesn't care that I have a wedding in just under 4 months times. When I told her my wedding was on the 24th of January, all she said was " So you won't be here for back to school?" Which is back to school shoe fitting. I'm a trained kids shoe fitter, but I'm being nice by working in back to school for two weeks. I could have taken more time off before the wedding but I chose to help out, because I know how crazy it can be.

But anyway, there was a lot more to this conversation but I really don't want to dwell on it as I'm already exhausted from the amount of frustration I felt. Soooo.... I need to imagine myself away. I really want to enjoy these last few months before the wedding and I'm not going to let work make me feel upset.

I want to add some soft light to create some ambiance and dream myself out of reality. I want to sit, reflect and journal my dreams.

You know I'm seriously thinking of getting a Tumblr account. There are times when I just want to post one picture or a quote or something. But then again I could probably do that here anyway.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! And thanks for all your lovely comments.

How bitter is she? My first guess is she's a single old and unmarried or boyfriendless lady that she is so bitter to even be a little bit emphatical. I mean, everyone decent will give you a break. It's a wedding! It's a big deal!

Love the little lights in the pictures, especially the first one.

I told you before, you only get married one, enjoy it and if she is not happy with that screw her.

Oh Gracie... I am so sorry your boss is not being understanding... Just take lots of deep breaths, and don't let her ruin the excitement of this amazing time in your life. And if nothing else, just hang lots of these twinkling white fairy lights all over your place. They always cheer me up :)

I loved every. single. photo. you posted here, love! They're all so beautiful. (biased because you and i both know how much we love fairy lights haha)

Urgh, I can't stand inconsiderate people! You're so nice to help out during back-to-school even though you have a legitimate reason not to. Don't stress out too much all right. Have some ice cream and quiet time with God, it'll be awesome. ;)

Gracienne, I’m so sorry to hear about this! Is the kiddieswear manager still tanya? (sorry, long time since ive been there and I know they play swapsy every couple of months). I know how horrible back to school can be, that’s why you shouldn’t dare feel bad about taking a few weeks off then. Remember when my knees were so black from bruising that I couldn’t bare to go on, but they still made me? I don’t think they really care for their staff, they only want to take advantage of them so they can make budget for the department. They don’t have a descent bone in their body if they don’t understand why you need time off so please don’t let this get you down, just focus your energy on planning your dream wedding! =D

Oh Gracie - what an awful situation. I am a primary school teacher by trade and was planning my wedding whilst working crazy full-time mad hours, with a similar unsympathetic attitude from my headteacher. So I can get some of what you are feeling, I finished the school term one week before my wedding date!
Easier said than done I know, but try the best you can to avoid stressing too much and let it overshadow the excitement of the wedding preparations.
Take care xx

I hope you will get everything sorted out eventually! It's a wedding! Once in a life time event, your manager shouldn't have sounded so bitter about it. Nonetheless, keep your spirits up for your wedding preps! 4 months to go, how lovely that will be!

Aw bella, I hate that you are going through all of this, it seems that every bride goes through a stress during the pre wedding plans. For me it was the dress shop going bancrupt, grandads death and my dads operation. I had my very own dragon lady also! Gave me ulcers! Hang in there darling, noone can rob you of your joy, you have so much to look forward to! I'm here if you need me, just like you've been there for me! X
